that section right there. when it was being built rain and moisture got into the ducts. and rust was detected on the still ten dons. a uc berkeley engineer laid out the concerns in a story today. he says they did tests that were the least sensitive to the presence of pits, and lo and behold, the test says there is no problem. that's when uc berkeley engineering professor thomas def sign, who says caltrans found rust and pits in the ducts, but he said didn't use the correct method to test how much they could compromise the strength of the steel inside this section of the bridge. a bay bridge spokesperson says this problem is not new, it was discovered in 2008 when this section of the bridge was being built and says engineers and contractors came up with solutions to the rust problem and the die sign -- design of the bridge allows for continued

center of the screen. it's a little dark. a brush fire is threatening homes in the alhambra valley area. it broke out 45 minutes ago. it's burned four acres so far. crews hey railroad to at the scene. fire officials called for at least one thoapt assist them in battling the flames. we'll let you know if anything changes. >> developing news in san francisco. a man suffered serious injuries when he fell during a party after the race. it happened on -- we're talking about break bay to breakers, across from the golden gate panhandle. police say the man plunged from the roof of an apartment building to the pavement around 3:30. paramedics rushed him to the hospital and he suffered life-threatening injuries. >> san francisco is cleaning up after the bay-to-breakers run, nearly 30,000 runners took to the streets. the male winner finished the course in 35 minutes.

>> ama: a judge will decide how many workers can strike at medical centers after the union representing more than 13,000 health workers seated to -- voted to strike for two days. the uc system asked a judge to limit the length of the walkout. >> a report finds a bay area jail has the fourth highest level of sexual abuse at the hands of guard. the u.s. department of justice found the main jail for santa sa clara county showed a 6.2% sex abuse rate.

high pressure, yes, brought us a delightful day today. lots of warming. it will be with us for at least one more day as it continues to migrate toward the bay area, so temperatures tomorrow in the -- up five or six degrees in many locations. tuesday the winds will start to pick up, the high will push to the south, the low will move in and a cool air mass will settle in, by tuesday afternoon, some locations will drop as much as 15 degrees so going from 90s to even upper 70s by tuesday. in fact, here's a look at the trend. tomorrow, looking for 80 for oakland. by tuesday, 68. check out livermore. tomorrow, 91. and then by tuesday, only 73. you can seal the week's trend is for temperatures to be below normal. here's a look at some more nice warm highs tomorrow. 86, santa clara. at the coast, temperatures near
