around the bay and we cap it at 56 as the cool air rushes in and only warm to 72 inland and 66 around the bay and 56 at the coast and for the evening, there will be a lot of sunshine and temperatures fall in the 50's at the coast and low-to-mid 60's and with the breeze you may want to grab a light jacket. >> we were reporting an accident in the northbound direction in hayward and c.h.p. has corrected it and said it is southbound direction a couple of cars and injury accident that now has been pushed to the shoulder and this is southbound along 880, beyond the boulevard at 39 miles per hour in the area as the top speed so very slow conditions right out of oakland and into hayward. so, again, it will start to clear up as you head to the south you will start to see top speeds when you hit the parkway. now, our mass transit and bart and muni and caltrain and everything is running on time, ignore that, everything is looking to be clear, and problem-free as we take it over

to san jose northbound along 87, beyond the julian off-ramp the traffic is running smoothly and it will take six minutes to head away from 895 in the northbound direction to julian. kristen and eric? >> the deadly tornadoes in oklahoma, search crews continue their effort to find survivors in the town of moore, and a oklahoma tv station reports more than 100 people were found alive overnight, and here is the latest, the foil death toll stands at 51, however, a spokesman said it is likely to rise to 91 people dead including 20 children. president obama is expected to address the nation about the disaster at 7:00 this morning our time. the president is also signed a major disaster declaration which starts money flowing to families. katie marzullo is monitoring developments in the newsroom. >> any minute the oklahoma city medical examiner is expected to give us new numbers, perhaps confirm the higher death toll.

we have some video to show you that came to the newsroom moments ago and we were age to turn this around and show you some of the devastation, and this appears to be a school or some kind of large building, not in the neighborhood, perhaps, the lazy tower school where the devastation took a direct hit in the city of moore. two schools were hit, the other school is breyer wood and all the students there accounted for and as you can see, this is the plaza tower elementary school. at the other school it was all about emotional reunions. you can see the families staggering as they reunite parents and kids. one mother says the teacher saved her son's life. >> i have now doubt god and the teacher lifted a wall off several kids. >> wall was on your son?

front has passed with temperatures in the 40's and low 50's and dew point in the 50-degree range. yesterday the dew point was in the 70's and that was the heat and energy she needed. the storm system went to moore and paralleled 240 for a while before it finally dissipated. the may 3rd went through moo moore, almost parallel and that is what they compare everything to that. now they will compare everything to this tornado. the damage has to be ef5, i have never seen the kind damage i have seen from that system, two-mile wide tornado, never heard of that with those wins, either. now, the best chance of sever weather is if louisiana, arkansas, and texas, moving away from that area. they will have clear skies and get back and find out hopefully more survivors. >> not evenours after the

francisco's ocean beach for signeds of a man who went missing after sunday's bay to breakers race. our reporter is live in san francisco with the clues the man left behind. >> kristen, his personal items including his cell phone were found in this area near the beach where his friends will meet at 9:00 this morning, to start searching for him again. the 27-year-old bo rasmussen disappeared after finishing the bay to breakers race on sunday and then, someone found his hat, his cell phone and his passport and, then, he didn't show up for work yesterday in san ramon. association his co-workers filed a missing person's report and started looking for him. >> those are one of our favorite guys in the office and we are worried. >> and the friends around noon said he was going do the beach and he broke away from his group and that was the last anyone

heard from him. freeways say they have checked jails, hospitals, there is no sign of him and they say it would be uncharacteristic of him to just not call or show up. they will be meeting at 9:00 at the beach to look for him and his friend and expected to join the search. reporting live in san francisco for abc7 news, aim ail. >> from contra costa county police in antioch are investigating a shooting that left one man injured and our media partner, the cost cost -- "contra costa times" reports the man was shot last night and was taken to the hospital where three is reported in critical condition and the gunman has not been identified. >> east bay school district has released a principal and a teacher and they are on live while it investigates allegations of student abuse. the alleged incident happened on the playground the elementary in brentwood, the principal and an unidentified teacher, a special ed teacher, were placed on leave

that, it is incredible. the images were captured as people escaped the path of destruction but never have never seen anything like that. so they could not help but to take video of that. a few were taken by storm chasers who drove into the storm directlily. this tragedy comes as we approach the anniversary of one of deadliest tornadoes in recent years, tomorrow marks two years since the twister wiped out joplin, missouri. may 22, 2011, an f5 tornado hit the small town claiming 158 lives and it was more than 64 years before that, that the united states saw a deadlier tornado in 1947 in oklahoma, and in 1936, back-to-back twisters hit georgia, and in mississippi, as well, each claiming 200 lives. the deadliest on record is the 1925 tri-state tornado that want through missouri, illinois, and indiana, killing almost 700

they had 16 minutes before the tornado came through and the cycles were skipping inside the thunderstorm and they saw it with radar and issued tornado warnings, but, something like that, unless you have a safe room, or you have a storm shelter, it is tough. it is tough to see the images. now, what is going on at home and what we are looking at with live doppler 7 hd, or, really, the tornado track, to show you how similar the two were, the one that they used to compare everything to is the one in the green and that was the may 3rd from 1999 and, there is one that went through yesterday, they started off in the same area and they started to merge as they went through more areas. some areas just more susceptible to tornadoes. i have seen it in many places i have lived, one area get as door made more often than another and it happens to be more in newcastle and that area of oklahoma lately. here is what is going on at home: quiet, a lot of cloud cover, and no sprinkles.
