about a possible fire jump and into a nearby mobile home park. the cause of the fire which broke out before 3:00 p.m. is still under investigation. >> breaking news involving the boy scouts of america voting to accept openly gay members. it is a stunning reversal of a ban in place during the organization's 103-year history. meeting in texas now, they did decide to keep in place a ban on gay adults serving as scout leaders. gay rights organizations petitioned the boy scouts to rescind the ban. you'll hear from a local gay scout waiting the decision along with some other autos a lot of questions surrounding a deadly collision between a garbage truck and a bicyclist. sky 7 hd is overhead soon after.

news. >> heather, thank you. four santa cruz law enforcement officers being hailed heroes today for actions after two fellow officers were gunned down in february. today, city officials praised police sargeant jose garcia. and sheriff deputies for acting prudent and here yolkic when they shot and killed jeremy goulet. he ambushed two officers while being questioned in his home. investigators say goulet intended to shoot and kill more officers. >> being shot at and under dead lay tack four brave law enforcement officers walked through gates of hell, discharged firearms and ended this horrific event. >> the four officers fired a total of 54 bullets during that battle. goulet fired 15 times.
