the federal government calls the span functionally obsolete but other bridges in the area structurally deficient. sky 7 hd flies over the golden gate bridge. just one span a big part of our lives in the bay area. the federal government labels some in better shape an others. golden gate and dunbarton bridges considered functionally obsolete by federal standards. the richmond san rafael bridges considering structurally deficient. by definition functionally obsolete means old design features and is not considered deficient in any way. the golden gate bridge design is functionally obsolete because there are no shoulders and lanes are narrow. structurally deficient means it needs to be repaired or monitored and not unnecessarily unsafe but requires main tense,

fan flames but humidity close to where you should be for this time of the year. changes will include showers, i'll be back with a look at the timing in just a few minute autos thank you. a man remains in critical condition tonight after getting shot during a robbery attempt in oakland. it happened after the 29-year-old victim left a nightclub he had been celebrating his birthday. police say three men confronted him and his companions one robber shot the man before he gave them valuables. the thieves took a jacket from a woman. police hoping cameras will help them find these robber autos pictures tell a thousand words. video is a very solid piece of evidence and we're constantly looking at video. >> the victim is expected to survive. detectives twoobt see if this is corrected to one taking

get ready to make room for bikes on bart trains. the bart board of directors is expanding hours to include rush hour. this is an experiment going from july 1 to december 1. right now, bicycles are prohibited during rush hour. rider says this gives them new freed yam. >> every day goi from san francisco to east bay. i'm immobile once i get there.
