the weekend, and chp officers are still investigate this morning's fatal crash. it involved a red honda coup, party because, and a couple 0 vehicles. officers say the driver of the red honda somehow lols control heading southbound on the 101 freeway this morning at 2:00 a.m. it smashed into the center divider and came to rest facing oncoming traffic. heat when a party bus came along and tagged the front end of the car. the driver of the red honda was rushed to hospital with major injuries, a passenger, 36-year-old woman, died in the crash. 11 people on the party bus were taken to the hospital with moderate to minor injuries. investigators say the driver of the red honda and his passenger both had been drinking before the crash. once we find out what his level offing into indication was, -- intoxication was we'll be able to charge with either dui and

>> several power poles caught fire this morning. happened in san francisco and south san francisco. tomas roman that the details. >> power poles ignited all over san francisco overnight. this one caught fire and shot sparks into the area sunday morning. michael lives -- when he backed out of his driveway this morning he heard a noise. >> i heard small explosion and saw a spark coming from that area there on the pole. and then suddenly this wire just came down across the hood of my car. >> his high voltage wire laid on the car while he called 9-1-1. >> be very carefully backed my car out from under the wire and i was set. >> pg&e repaired the poll -- pole and put up new lines. this power pole was smoking into afternoon. another one was damaged when it

caught fire. this pole dangled dangerously over the street that forces firefighters to close california between 4th and 27th 27th avenues. battalion chief says fire crews responded to these calls all over the city. >> was reported nine pole transformer fires last night. in the last 24 hours. >> 3,000 customers were without power at the height of the instance departments. pg&e says wet weather overnight was the catalyst that joined with dust to cause the short circuit on the poles. >> that can actually lead to it becoming a little muddy, and when there's that mud, that's a conductor of electricity. reporter: pg&e says it has a maintenance program to try to keep the lines clean so these incidents don't happen but i either they get too dirty too soon or the lines get missed. >> ama: a fire in san francisco has left a family homeless. firefighters received a call at 7:30 this morning to a

bay, east bay, south bay, more than likely will see a little light rain but most of this will be confined north of the golden gate bridge, and then after that a nice warmup towards towards tr part of the work week. overnice lows in the 50s across much of the bay area, and let get right to the cold front. you can see it here. very strong really for this time of year, and it will just continue to slice south, thickening clouds overnight. rain tomorrow morning. and here's a look at the timing. we're looking at by 9:00 we ooh start to see rain bands stretching down to -- from ukiah to santa rosa, and then notice over the course of the morning, by noontime, a little rain reaching the golden gate bridge. east bay, you're final south bay, you're fine. the clouds start to pick up and then we had another swath of rain, one two, three, 4:00 in the afternoon that will hit the golden gate bridge, a better likelihood of visiting the east bay and south bay 4:00, 5:00,
