>> thank you. >> we have new information now on breaking news in oakland. it happened on ritchie street just a short time ago. abc 7 news reporter nick smith is live to explain what happened. nick? >> this is still an accident investigation. crews just arrived on the scene to search roof tops because a man was shot after police chased him down. if you look, you can see evidence markers on the street. before 2:00 this afternoon, officers received information that three men in a car may be armed with one illegally-possessed firearm. police started a pursuit of

the vehicle that ended at 77th avenue and police say the three men ran way in different directions. one of the three ran were you saw those markers. deputy chief says the suspect was armed before firing his weapon. >> this is a unit out there looking for individuals brought to their attention chlg i can't go detail about what that is. they have a purpose in this area. >> now one up with onhas been recovered at the scene. the suspect who was shot later died. police say there may be more evidence but they have not shared anything more with us now and have not said home houm shots were fired.

many in many cases parents forget to take the children with them. officials today reminding parents of the danger. they put signs all over town showing temperatures outside and inside of a car. they can be at least 15 degrees hotter inside. children are more sensitive to heat than adult autos people heard of cases kids have been in cars maybe 30 minutes and by by the time they get there, they're very, very sick z it's a tragedy, sometimes, they've stopped breathing. >> officials recommend parents leave a hand bag or brief case in the back to remind them selfs to hi the child out of the car when they believe. -- leave. park goers at disney may be sporting electronic wrist bands in place of tickets. the parent company of abc 7 has been experimenting with the wrist bands. the radio frequency capable bracelets would do more than just get you into the park.

you'd be able to tap them to buy souvenirs and food and make reservations for rides and double as a key to unlock your room at the disney hotel. disney says no personal information stored on the bracelets. 6 the first of its kind fund raising effort ever launched by the smithsonian is under way for an exhibit that will make its way here to san francisco. the smithsonian raising money for its yog yat art of transformation exhibit. donors can contribute money. fund raising for the exhibition began today, running through july 1. knowing yoega the art of transformation begins august 18th engineer washington, d.c. then coming to san francisco
