from the monster storm sweeping over the midwest. three tornadoes touched down in oklahoma yesterday. moman bradley as the more on the latest. >> nowhere to go and twisters tore across the landscape. a mother and her baby were killed in their car on i-40. >> their car was sucked up in the tornado and they were sucked out of their vehicle. >> it leveled a technology center during school hours. >> we have a basement area and we were able to get the folks down there and everybody is fine. >> they have destroyed many homes. flooded streets up to four feet. a massive storm system

ravaged st. louis. >> a lot of destruction but thankfully this storm touched down in a rural area outside of oklahoma city. for a while there was a lot of worry this storm would do what the massive storm did to moore, oklahoma objections two weeks ago. >> here is the bay area we are following news in berkeley where two lanes of i-80 are reopened to traffic after a crash left two people dead. police say the still unidentified bicyclist was trying to cross the freeway and they died at the scene. three lanes remain closed as they investigate. >> a four-year-old girl was reported missing in richmond has been found

safe. she disappeared about 6:00 last name from a home on wall avenue where she was visiting family. she was found just before midnight in good condition sleeping beneath a bed inside the home. the mother expects her gratitude to help search for her daughter. >> weed the dogs come in and everything. i'm sorry for everybody but i'm so happy she is okay and nothing bad happened to her. police say she was -- that is why the family didn't see her. >> police in san jose are investigating a stabbing that left one man dead. it happened in west san jose just before 10:00 last night. officers arrived to find a man lying in a carport with multiple stab wounds.

he was taken to valley medical center where he died. >> also in san jose yesterday, a man died after shot multiple times. it happened about colmar drive near ryan elementary school. that school was pla placed on lockdown. the man was taken to the hospital in serious condition. there has been eight shootings in san jose in the past week alone and four of them were fatal. police believe that yesterday's shooting is gang related. >> to try to get a handle on inkroogsed violence, san jose police have added officers and conducted saturation patrols. they will be targeting specific neighborhoods. >> in san francisco a man is recovering in morning from a terrifying home

that is where the red flag warning is in effect. north bay hills, we're watching for dangerous conditions, gusty winds, sea breeze limited factor at our coast. winds will be light out of west this afternoon, but hotter for everyone especially inland and cooling for most everyone. it won't be very generous tomorrow. here is a look what you can expect today. we're talking about temperatures well above normal. gradient pushing the air to the coast but a weak sea breeze, five to ten miles an hour and that picks up tomorrow. by monday we're talking about a big cooldown. here is a look in oakland, high temperatures in the low 80s. mid-70s tomorrow. coolest days will be middle. week and then end of the week we're back in into the 80s with a big ridge of high pressure. that is culprit for our

of eight:30. we'll take a quick look at the weather. >> 56 degrees in santa cruz, getting a little bit more active and we'll see highs in the mid-80s down around santa cruz. many of our beaches in our area will be in the 70s. 70 in the north wind around the delta where we have a red flag warning. union city around in the 70s. 58 in santa rosa. forecast for much of the bay area calls for temperatures well above normal. in fact about five degrees warmer than yesterday. that will bring us up to 80 to near 90 around the bay. along our coast it should be pleasant from point reyes and half moon bay to the mid-70s. inland though we are looking at temperatures in the low mid-90s and your 90s a cooldown visits us tomorrow.

i'll explain coming up. mayor ed lee has presented his budget for the next two years. nearly $8 billion per year with no significant cuts. in fact as abc news reporter wayne freedman learned this budget has some additions. >> the corner has a reputation for being one of the toughest in san francisco. richard dickson knows all about that. >> there a are a lot of kids see a lot of things they shouldn't see as kids. >> police come around here and there is going to be more of them, 300 officers next year. >> and made chief and city hall, she is getting 30 more firefighters also in the mayor's budget. >> this year's budget reflects a lot of hard work.

>> budget is big, 436 pages of facts and numbers and graphs and details. that they say is where the devil may be found. >> there is actually a lot of additional money coming in. >> roughly $300 million due mostly to property taxes. one of the things that is facing them finance chairman is figuring out where to cut and where to add. >> do you make more friends and enemies with the budget? >> it depends. >> the budget is harder in years where we have more money. >> in this budget you will see fiscal pursue dense, a high level of -- prudence and investments and increased public safety. >> and more work on the infrastructure, a mixed blessing to residents. the city has been installing new sewers for three weeks hurting

noticed temperatures are in the lower 60s from mountain view, san jose, good morning, oakland, san francisco, a comfortable 54, with 56 at the beach. berkeley marina looking nice, 70 by the delta and some of the upper elevations above thousand feet you are already near 80 degrees. we will look for downsloping winds to warm us up quickly all across the bay area and low 60s in union city and los gatos. here is a view from the sitro camera, plenty of sunshine today. it will be hottest inland, hooder for everyone around the bay with elevated fire danger and cooling begins as soon as pos tomorrow. more significant cooling, you have to wait until monday. half moon bay, 68 degrees. san francisco, warming to 76. at you head across the bay, low 80s in berkeley. as you head oakland,
