>> good morning, everyone. thanks for joining us on this i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with a quick first look at the weather with our meteorologist, lisa argen. >> good morning, carolyn. the on shore flow is back. allowing the temperatures today to be a degree to seven degrees cooler can yesterday.

the low clouds and fog is shallow at about 500 feet but it will be felt today. here's oakland. low to upper 70s here. that's an improvement from the 80s yesterday. at our coast it will be sunny, except ahe ocean beach, san mateo county coast, i think you will hold on to the clouds for much of the afternoon. inland you will notice we are still in the 90s. it's not the upper 90s. more cooling to come for tomorrow. in fact, you are going to feel it by another five to seven degrees inland. then we are talking about how long it will stay around before we heat up again. carolyn. >> lisa, thank you. new this morning, police in san francisco are investigating after a car plowed through an internet cafe. take a look there. police saying they received a call around 6:15 about two people sleeping inside a car in the excelsior district. investigators say at some point the driver took off, speeding for about a block, before slamming into the building on

mission street. there are no reports of any injuries. two men are being questioned. it's unclear right now why the car slammed into that building. vallejo police, already pressed foran officers and relying on outside law enforcement help, are pushing this morning to try to solve a quadruple shooting. it happened overnight and has lost two men dead. abc news reporter kira klapper joins us live from the vallejo police department. kira, you have the latest on the search for a killer. >> i do, carolyn. i just got off the phone with one of the lou tenants. he tells me overnight and all morning they have been following active leads. still they continue to search for the killer and his motives. shooting appeared last night at a home near the corner of lynnfield drive across from chapman court in vallejo. people were in the front yard and the driveway and garage having a regular neighborhood

party. a man rounded the corner, yelled something at all of them and started shooting from the sidewalk, just spraying bullets. he ran away. the neighbors say it happened so past. a two men, a 41-year-old, and a 52-year-old, were killed. the 41 -- we do know who police are looking for." take a listen. >> we are looking for a hispanic male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5'6" to 5'8" ta had. l with a medium build. he has a mustache and gotee and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. >> eric: this morning people have made a memorial for the two men. they are mourning their deaths. understandably they did not want to go on come rashad, but they tell me they think it was a random shooting. they say it's a tight-knit community, they are all like family. two other people were injured in

the shooting, a 25-year-old man was actually grazed in the head with a bullet. he was already released from the hospital earlier this morning. he's expected to be okay. and a 16-year-old was shot in the foot. he, too, will be released from the the hospital today." he's expected to be okay. and another teenager, carolyn, i just learned, his tee shirt was hit by one of the bullets. the police are looking for the brazen shooter and they want anyone with information to call them. abc7 news. >> let's hope some tips come in. thank you, kira. today a volunteer search party with the class kids foundation will conduct a search for a teenager with a traumatic brain injury who has been missing for nearly two weeks. the 19-year-old has not been seen since may 21st when he told his dad he was going to the park. shawn is recovering from a brain injury he suffered last year. his last call was traced within

a few mile radius of baker beach. a strong earlyache hit central taiwan overnight, killing three people and injuring at least 18 others. [foreign language] >> those videos recorded the shaking as it happened. magnitude 67.2 quake struck in the heart of the country. it triggered rockslides in the mountainous area near the epicenter. one of the rocks crushed a car, killing its driver. taiwanese media is reporting damage all over the country. no tsunami warning has been issued. >> later today an arborist will try to figure out what caused a massive tree to come crashing down in san jose. it crushed vehicles and injured several people. one person ended up being pinned under the tree. abc news property has more on the story from san jose. >> reporter: rescue teams used chainsaws to cut the massive tree apart and get to the injured. a couple dozen people were on

this lawn bowling field when part of the tree came smashing down. >> out of the blue the tree shook a little bit and we looked up and it started coming down. then there was this horrific crack. it was just horrific. i heard people say run for your life! >> two members of the club got caught under the branches. one was able to get out quickly, but the other was pinned. other park visitors ran to help. >> an elderly lady had a whole bunch of branches toward her and her ankle was snapped in half. she had a big cut through the front of her head. >> a san jose fire department spokesman said her injuries looked bad, but they were minor. she was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. the massive oak actually split in two. one-half fell on the bowling field and the other crashed on to several cars parked on the street. one man was sitting in his vehicle. >> he had one foot outside, one foot inside so he was half in and half out of the car.

he said as soon as he heard the tree falling toward him, he dove under his car. >> at least one person in a vehicle was taken in theth minor injuries. the president of the lawn bowling club said they were hosting a defend for the defensive coaching staff of the san francisco 49ers. all five of the coaches escaped injuries. >> just unbelievably lucky that only one person was seriously injured. >> so what caused the massive oak to split in two? an arborist has been dispatched to try to figure that out. in san jose, abc7 news. >> another developing story. firefighters are hoping to get a handle on a raging wildfire burning right now in southern california. you are looking at new video from this morning of the powerhouse fire. it's just north of santa clarita. more than a thousand homes have been evacuated between 15,000 and 20,000 acres have reportedly burned so far and five

structures have been destroyed. the fire wishes broke out thursday, is 20% contained. oakland city officials will hold a news conference this week to address the growing problem of side shows after a woman was critically injured yesterday. side shows like this one feature drivers speeding and doing doughnuts in the streets. they draw big crowds. the woman from walnut creek was shot during our sideshow in oakland earlier yesterday morning. residents say side shows occur almost every weekend. >> they know what time the police are on and off work or something because they were down there for a good two hours, and it took something like this before the police came. >> that victim, 25 years old, is on life support. two men were also shot. one has been released from the hospital. the other is in stable condition. city leaders say the news conference is scheduled for tomorrow. san jose police are investigating the city's 21st

homicide of the year. the fifth in seven days. a man was found stabbed to death in this carport. that is near santana row. investigators have known in custody. the string of recent killings prompted the acting police chief to call an emergency meeting with his staff this weekend. part of the plan to curb violence is put more police on the streets. they are conducting police saturation patrols this weekend with about 40 extra officers. the community has been acting for this action, designed to prevent violent acts from happening. patrols are being concentrated in areas known for gang activity. >> meteorologist lisa argen is here now with a preview of your accuweather forecast. >> well, we watched earlier the fog come through the golden gate. but from our exploratorium camera, nice and sunny in san francisco. 52 degrees. there is fog on the coast with a mile and a quarter visibility down by half moon bay. that will impact your sunday

>> this morning more than 2,000 bicyclists from all over the world will leave from san francisco on the first leg of a 545-mile journey across california to raise a.i.d.s. awareness. cyclists will ride from san francisco to santa cruz today as part of the a.i.d.s. life cycle. journey lasts 7 days and will eventually take bikers all the way to los angeles. it is considered the world's largest annual a.i.d.s. fundraiser. the money benefits the san francisco a.i.d.s. foundation and a.i.d.s. related services in los angeles. here's a health statistic that might surprise you. california has the most tuberculosis case necessary the nation, one in five. and the highest rate is here in silicon valley.

lyanne melendez tells us why. >> san jose, sunnyvale and santa clara are up there when it comes toic ta. >> we have a diverse population, we have international travelers, we have tech entrepreneurs that travel globally. >> here's the breakdown. according to the santa clara department of public health 90% were in foreign-born residents. philippines, vietnam, india, china and mexico. a person's socioeconomic status has nothing to do with it. >> someone can be exposed to tb in one place at one place in time and it doesn't show up and progress to disease until ten years later. >> the tb strains are becoming more and more antibiotic resistant. and when you have that, it becomes a real problem.

congressman mike honda led this year's california tb control meeting. 24 counties were represented here. all of them agreed the federal government should be ordered to have an adequate supply of drugs to treat tb. right now it doesn't. >> if we don't have a supply of medication, we can't treat the disease. >> honda will go back to congress to ask for more funds which, in the past, have been cut. children and young adults accounted for 10% of tb case in santa clara county. these two students won prizes for their posters designed to bring awareness in schools. >> if you have tb and it's active, if you like cough or sneeze in any way and you spread the bacteria, the other person or anyone around you or anything you touch and they touch it, anyone can get it. it sometimes can stop them from learning a lot and they can probably die from it. >> a vaccine against tb is not used in the u.s. because it has never been effective. in san jose, lyanne melendez, abc7 news.

>> this morning storm-battered residents in oklahoma are getting a brief break from the devastating weather system that's killed at least nine people. authorities are still looking for a family of seven feared drowned when they were swept away by the oklahoma river. calmer skies are being forecast for today. those nine oklahoma victims were killed when a tornado touched down along a busy interstate. thousands of people were trapped in their cars trying to escape. most of the severe weather the midwest saw is now headed toward the east coast. three volunteers from the bay area chapter of the red cross are packed and headed off to oklahoma. they will help with tornado relief. >>. lindsay of san francisco is one of them. she will help with logistics. she said most volunteers don't any exactly what they will be doing until they arrive. >> they tell you what your job is going to be, where you are

going to go, where you are going to stay so you don't actually know until you arrive. because things are changing so quickly and they need help in all different areas, they just want to make sure that what i am going to do is, you know, what needs to be done when i get there. >> you can help by donating to the red cross disaster relief fund. just text word "red cross" to the number 90999. you can donate ten dollars that way, and you can also call 1-800-red cross. we know about natural disasters and appreciate it when people come here to help, whether it's earthquakes or fires, so nice to see people going there. lisa is here now with the accuweather forecast. >> the fog is already eroding but we will still feel the influence of a stronger sea breeze today. we had it yesterday. not much after warmup at the beaches. 65 at half moon bay, 70 monterey. today numbers coming down from two to six degrees and the low clouds and fog, the status, will re-establish itself in the days

ahead. it will get taller and grow across the bay. this will allow for more cooling in the east bay. today it's beginning, and the reason being is our low fog and cloud deck is really just confined to the coast. we will look for some breezy winds here and clouds from monterey, up through half moon bay and pacifica. that will allow for some cooling around the bay. so here's a look. it looks a also hazy from the sutro camera. we had the fog earlier. it's already sunny here. mid-and upper 50s from san francisco and mountain view. yesterday it was in the 90s. san jose 60. half moon bay 50. 59 in santa cruz. another vantage point. this is vollmer peak where you won't feel much of an influence from the sea breeze today. santa rosa already in the low 70s. fairfield, very little wind there and upper elevations are holding on to the heat. 53 in los gatos. mt. tam, yep, it's hazy, and

still warm around the bay. the coastal fog will keep the numbers typically cool from association beach and point reyes, but around union city and remont, from two to six degrees of cooling. it is still quite foggy from portion of monterey up through half moon bay. nice and sunny here. here's a look where we've been and where we are going to go. with 93 yesterday santa rosa, forecasting high of 87. oakland 83. 75 today. that's 8 degrees of cooling. san francisco for you as well with a high of 68. hayward coming out of the 80s to the upper 70s and concord about 90. still better than yesterday. san jose upper 80s yesterday, 81 today. so we are getting there. when we do establish a stronger on shore push, numbers will actually be where they should be for this time of year. it will remain actually seasonal right through the middle of the work week. so an area of low pressure sets up later on today. that's going to offer the west

wind today, a south wind tomorrow, and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in milpitas to the mid-80s in los gatos. still pretty good out there. in spots it will be warm but breezy here with more clouds in half moon bay today. daly city, 62. newspaper the north bay you will have the low 60s at stinson. upper 80s calistoga. the near east bay looking at numbers in in 70s. union city 77 today. you head inland, and dropping into the upper 80s from pleasanton. and the accuweather forecast, more cooling inward tomorrow. getting to 80 on tuesday. that's where we should be the numbers tuesday and wednesday. 50s coast, 70s around the bay, about 80 inland. by thursday looks like we will warm up again. friday and saturday much warmer and even the coast could warm to the 70s. we will let you know how hot it's going to be in your

>> breaking news. this is a live picture of the massive fire burning out of control that we've been telling you about near los angeles.

the firehouse fire exploded overnight to almost 25,000-acre. five structures have been destroyed. almost a thousand firefighters are on the line trying to contain it, but you can see there it is still out of control. a marin county wildlife group is now on hunt for a person who may have derailed their research and may have killed endangered fish in the process. as jonathan bloom explains, although they don't know who did it did it, they have a pretty good idea why. >> this creek is one of the few places you can still find wild coho salmon. at least for now. >> we are down to the last couple hundred fish returning. at one time there were thousands of fish. >> the government has labeled them critically endangered and given grants to conservation groups for projects like this one. >> they are funneled into this net, into the pipe and into the trap box here. >> bob is head of a group called "spawn" that are counting and weighing the young salmon downstream and releasing them, and see which ones come back

three years later to lay eggs. or at least they were. that was until a few days ago. >> somebody came in and smashed our net box into a million pieces. pulled the piping out of the way, and bent the rebar and literally stole the net. >> over a thousand dollars and it was all caught on camera, but you can't see the face. spawn is offering a $500 reward to who can point the finger to the culprit. >> this is someone who had a major axe to grind. >> who would want to ruin a project like this? the answer could be a lot of people. although their mission may be a noble one, they have become hated by some of the landowners who want to build houses along the creek. >> this is one of the several flyers of that been posted around the valley anonymously. >> steiner said he's been the target of threat and hate mail since his group started lobbying for restrictions upstream. >> we continue to make these mistakes, there is no question the fish are going to go extinct.

clouds. folks are out at the beaches. back home, numbers in the 70s. we have cooling on tap today and eats pretty pleasant around livermore, in the mid-60s right now. you will still see some 90s today around the bay. here's a look at san jose. numbers coming out of the upper 80s to the lower 80s for you. look at numbers mainly in the 70s from oakland and berkeley, union city and castro valley. numbers in the low to mid-60s. not a lot of change there. a couple degrees of cooling here in the inland east bay. it's starting out warm in spots but we are looking at temperatures coming down to where they should be this time of the year. that will include most of the up coming work week. i will explain in a minute. carolyn. >> we have breaking news out of yosemite where search crews are looking for a 19-year-old teenager from sacramento who was swept over a water fall. they said the boy came to the park with a church group and was

seen swimming above the fall when he was swept away by the current just before 3:00 yesterday afternoon. search crews are no now combing the merced river for any sign. meanwhile part of the area is closed while search crews search the area below the water fall. >> eric: and we continue to follow developing news out of vallejo where police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead. it happened just before midnight on linnfield drive. a man walked into a small part inside a garage at a home and started shouting and shooting. the victims are 41 and 52 years old. two other people were injured, a 16-year-old and a 25-year-old. no one identified yet. they were taken to the hospital. they are expected to be okay. the suspect remains on the loose. he's described as latino between 20 and 30 years old with a gotee. he was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black jacket.

new this morning, police in fremont are telling residents to be on alert after two home invasion robberies in a matter of days. both happened around 10:00 p.m. one on tuesday, one on thursday last week on mountain drive and peregrine way. police say in both robberies the suspects forced open a side garage door and ended up in the master bedroom while the victims slept. they believe they may be targeting elderly asian homeowners and anyone with any information about this case is expected to call police. >> now to a story you will only see an abc7 news. the charges against a man accused of murdering a well-known south bay millionaire have been dropped. we were the first to bring you the latest information in the robbie murder investigation. lisa has the details. >> lucas anderson left this red jumpsuit behind thursday when he walked out of the santa clara county jail a free man.

he was accused of breaking into robbie's mansion with four other people, robbing the multi-millionaire and then killing him. now prosecutors admit anderson was never there. >> mr. anderson had been admitted to valley medical center a couple hours before the murder began and was held there in one of the medical units until about twelve hours after it was over. >> the reason anderson was picked up and charged in the first place is because investigators say they found the 26-year-old's dna under the victim's fingernail's. anderson's attorney isn't so sure about that. >> that makes the assumption that the dna evidence was collected, tested and analyzed properly. >> we do not believe there is any problem with any of the lab work in this case at all. it's going to be an incidence of fining out where the two individuals' paths crossed. >> abc7 learned anderson suffers from mental illness, has a traumatic brain injury and is an alcoholic. >> mr. anderson has some

significant limitations and their worlds just really didn't cross. >> still the prosecution continues to build its case between four people, including two reputed gang members and two alleged prostitutes. they remain in custdy. abc7 news. new pictures have emerged of the letters laced with the poison ricin mailed to president obama and new york mayor michael bloomberg. the letter, from a person who supports second amendment rights, says, quote, what is in this letter is nothing compared to what i've got planned for you." an fbi hazardous materials team has been going through the house in new boston, texas. agents are interviewing a man who lives there, described as an army veteran. >> a demonstration that started out to save an ener city park has set off anti-government protests all across turkey. police allowed thousands back into istanbul's main square

earlier. they fired teargas and turned water cannons on the fall. -- on the crowd. demonstrators pelted the police with rocks and bottles. it's quiet there today. in san francisco, supporters marched in solidarity with the turks last night. the protestors want to save one of istanbul's last open green spaces. part of a belmont church belltower has been demolished. the church of the immaculate heart of mary shut down friday. building inspectors found the tower had dry rot and termite damage. construction crews used a crane to carry out emergency repairs. they removed the tower in sections until city officials decided it was safe. sunday services should be held as usual today. >> coming up next, a look at what one developer has in mind. could it rejuvenate a gritty part of san francisco? the new plans for an old

>> the first new housing development of its kind is scheduled to open in a san francisco neighborhood known for its high crime rate. the lofts are under construction at a site in the tenderloin that holds special meaning for us here at abc7. >> this was once our home. until 1985 the kgo newsroom, studios and broadcast facilities were located on golden gate avenue in san francisco's tenderloin. now, after being vacant for nearly 30 years, the site is

coming to life again. called "the lofts at 7" to honor the tv station's legacy, 88 brand new market-rate rental apartments are going up. they will have high ceilings, hardwood floors and more. >> where we are standing right now on the roof where there's a great view and there's 6500 square feet of fitness center, barbecue grill and outdoor cinema and fire pit. >>all that grandeur in gritty surroundings. >> the reputation of the loin is really hard. >> but we are told things are changing. it's evan being called the trendy loin as some of the mid-market hypes makes it this way. tenderloin activists believes the new lofts will help the neighborhood transform. >> it has a major effect. it brings people in who have jobs, who can patronize local businesses and to tell people to come down here. it's better than you think. >> but crime is still an issue. in fact, hundreds of

neighborhood residents have signed a petition, criticizing the police chief for a decrease in police staffing. >> the tenderloin is down twice as much as citywide. >> the help is on the way. we have two academy class in and we are trying to get the staff up again as the new classes come out. >> welcome news, certainly, for those currently living in the loin, as well as the newcomers on the way. >> and that petition from tenderloin residents calling for increase the police patrols was deliver to the chief on thursday. lisa, you and i i never worked in that building, but, oh, the stories. >> i can imagine. we are looking at a nice shot of san jose. yesterday kind of hot. 88 degrees. today we are talking maybe about 80. numbers coming down there. but you are going to have to wait in the day until you really feel the cool-down, and that's going to be in the east bay, as well. we have fog on the coast.

>> what it if you bought an expensive big screen tv and it simply did not work? that's what happened to a marin county woman who said her tv came from the store already broken. what is worse? she could not get a refund. that's when 7 on your side's michael finney stepped in to help. flat screens tvs give you great pictures, but the slightest crack can disable the entire set and most warranties won't cover a cracked screen.

this woman said her brand new tv was cracked coming out of the box but the warrantee didn't cover a repair and she couldn't return it to the store. >> this disney channel. >> after work shannon at marin city looks forward to a relaxing evening at home, watching tv with her family. she and her children flip channels, disagreeing about what to watch, but on this day they are just happy the tv set actually works. >> i plugged it in because i was excited to have the tv. >> shannon is telling us about her ordeal. she bought a plasma tv at wal-mart back in february. but when she turned it on, here's what happened. >> nothing. >> no picture, no sound. >> she thought no problem, it was brand new and under warranty. she contacted samsung, which sent out a technician, who discovered the problem. >> he found three little cracks in the borderline where the screen is. >> the technician pointed to tiny fractures on this part of the screen which disabled the entire set.

the samsung warranty didn't cover cracks, so shannon contacted wal-mart. the retailer said it would not take back a tv with a damaged screen. she also had this extended warranty, but that didn't cover a cracked screen either. shannon kept telling everyone, this wasn't her fault. the tv came with those cracks. >> right out of the box. and it was -- it was shocking like really? did i just spend all this money on this tv? >> shannon said she paid $500 for the tv and $44 for the extended warranty, and all she got was a broken tv. >> to be told, we can't help you, sorry. you just have to take the loss. >> and i thought, wow, i work hard for my money. he just want a tv that works. >> shannon contacted 7 on your side and we contacted wal-mart and two weeks later the retailer gave her a call. >> what's going on with the tv? >> wal-mart agreed to take back the set and provide a full

refund. a wal-mart spokesperson said it was not clear what caused the cracks, but this is not the experience we want our customers to have. ultimately we did the right thing by taking care of ms. barns resolve the issue with her. >>shannon brought another samsung tv that works perfectly. now the family is snuggled up debating what to watch once again. >> i was ready to watch tv. i didn't care what i watched. >> a warranty usually will not cover cracked screens for tv sets and repairing the screens can often cost more than the price of the entire set. shannon did everything right by reporting the problem on the very same day she bought the tv. our thanks to wal-mart for providing her with that full refund. i'm michael finney, 7 on your side. >> today is the last day to visit the san francisco museum of modern art before it closes for an expansion. the museum will close tonight for renovations that will take almost three years to complete. the planned expansion will include more public space and

enhanced education programs. they are going to have a farewell procession through the museum to bid good-bye later today. until then they will be on the go presenting art experiences all over the city like these sculptures. they are right now at crissy field. today would be a nice day to go to crissy field maybe to look at that or to walk the dog, run, whatever. >> a little breezy there but that's helping us cool down. they were in the upper 70s yesterday in san francisco, upper 60s today. this is showing some fog. we will get into some sunshine, even down around santa cruz today. it will take a little bit of time and not everyone will clear here around pacifica, but we are looking at still some warm temperatures inland, despite the on shore push. it's a weak one. it's still getting just established and as it does the sea breeze will be felt, you know, 15 miles from around the

bay. so we are talking about some cooling around the bay, but inland, not so much. in fact, you are going to still see numbers in the 90s. it's in the 70s already in parts of the bay. so another warm start for you. and here's a look. hazy sunshine san francisco. 55 here. we are much cooler than we were yesterday. most areas are. 58 oakland. 61 mountain view and 50 half moon bay. santa cruz at 61. look at all the low clouds here. this is where the fog has been since the overnight hours. it's going to clear out. the numbers will be in the mid-70s here down from about 80 from yesterday. we are looking at 60s and 70s around the bay. and the reason for this, we still have a lot of warmth in the atmosphere. not much wind. that sea breeze is weak, so we are starting out with mild temperatures. 56 los gatos. we will look for the coastal fog this morning. cooler around the bay today but cooler tomorrow, bringing the numbers down to seasonal temperatures, probably through

thursday. certainly through wednesday. we are going to turn this around, though, and bring the heat back for next weekend. san francisco nice and sunny. we were well before normal yesterday. 80s and 90s. today anywhere from five to eight degrees of cooling. you will notice still some 90s, though, around concord, but that is still five degrees cooler than yesterday. hayward into the upper 70s. so today the warmest day that we will see in the next four or so, but i'm telling you, next weekend we are talking about not only a big ridge of high pressure, but it looks like even the coast is going to warm up. today there is our fog. it is going to stay in the 60s there. so it should be a pleasant throughout the day. here's what happens overnight. look at the fog goes to the delta and into the east bay. that will bring the cooler day in our east bay inland valleys. numbers will be into the 80s tomorrow. that's ten degrees cooling. today 70s from oakland and we are looking at 9 fremont. 68 downtown, 86 santa rosa, as

home. you won't believe the ending. jersey day at the coliseum. i have to get me one of those jerseys. he was fired up. 2 for 5, rbi coming in the first. a double to the gap. lowry scores from first. 1-0, a's. the rbi triple in the fifth and the a's are up 3-1. dan struck out 8 in six innings but didn't get the win. sean doolittle, a two-run single in the 7th and unfortunately that ties the game at three. a's had 16 hits in the game but one without swinging the bat. bases loaded, two outs in the tenth and josh reddick walked by hector santiago. a walk-in, walk-off victory. reddick gets the pie in the ace, a's win, 4-3. >> we needed a run either way, whether it was a walk or bloop single. i was just trying to do something. and just didn't get it over the plate. >> the giants matt cain seems to have a hiccup every time he faces the cardinals. he allowed 9 runs in one inning earlier this season at at&t.

he was hoping for better results yesterday afternoon in game one of a double-header in st. louis. cain was perfect in every inning except the third. 4-0, cards. tony cruz, a double off the wall, scores two. a seven-run third inning for matt. he struck out 9 but allows 7 runs on 9 hits in six inning. cardinals take game one of the double-header, 8-0, the final. game two, new pitcher but same problem. madison bumgarner gives up three runs. that was also in the third. carlos beltran brings home two with the single. five runs, six innings. and meanwhile adam wainwright went the distance, allowing one run on 8 hits, struck out 10. cards win game two, 7-1, that final. the indiana pacers will not go away. game 6, eastern conference finals and pacers let the defending champion the miami heat know they are in for a fight in game seven. the pacers super fans still believing, i think. paul george led way with 28 points. posterizing chris bosh.
