and swam to the shore. berkeley fire came and a diver went in the water and assisted him to the shore. we grabbed him and brought him up. >> the suspect was wanted for hit-and-run accident and taken into custody. the car was pulled from the water this morning and no word what they are looking for. >> a mother and father are hospitalized after a horrifying traffic accident that killed their these-year-old son. the boy's father gilbert gil was driving on paseo padre parkway at very high speeds at the time of the crash and lost control, hit a tree and the car split in half. investigators say gil was not wearing a seatbelt and thrown from the car and his wife was in the passenger seat and was wearing a seatbelt. their son angelo was in the back seat buckled in. the boy and the entire back half of the vehicle landed in a yard and he died. >> the whole car is apart.
