[ chanting president clinton. >> they gathered a few blocks from the home in palo alto urging the president not to approve the controversial pipeline. it is designed to carry petroleum extracted from tar sands in canada south to united states refineries near the gulf of mexico. supporters say the project would bring in more than 42,000 temporary jobs in the united states but a state department study projects it would only add

companies the government is tapping into their systems. they say it is not true. since the leak of the verizon court order for phone records the "washington post" citing more classified documents is reporting the national security agency or n.s.a. has also obtained direct access to the systems of nine u.s. internet giants, microsoft, yahoo, google, facebook, aol, skype, youtube, and apple. the n.s.a. can collect search history, e-mails, file transfers, and live chats. overnight, five of the companies deny any knowledge of this. those had deny a, microsoft, apple, facebook, and yahoo but the newly reveled dragnet is causing an uproar and privacy advocates are furious and legislations are defending the practice. >> in the last few years, there was a domestic case thwarted because of their ability to do this. >> it is sweeping.

the two boys crawled from the bus and the good news is they are reported okay. the female bus driver was taken away on a stretcher. one of the boys says the accident was caused by another vehicle that ran a broad light and slammed into the bus. senate leaders will open debate on legislation to create a chance at citizenship for those in the country unlawfully. it will take steps to secure borders against futile legal immigration drafted by a bipartisan group of eight senators and approved by the judiciary committee. the republican-controlled house of representatives voted yesterday to resume the deporting of hundreds of thousands of immigrants who came to the united states illegally as children, a largely symbolic move aimed at blocking implementation of president obama's executive order last year to stop deporting so-called dream act individuals. >> three charter schools in oakland which rank among the top in the nation will remain open for now after a judge issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the school district from closing the school. the american indian model

schools can now re-open on june 20 for the summer session. in march the oakland unified school district revoked the charter because of alleged financial problems. a spokesman for the direct called the judge's decision a temporary setback. the administration has appealed to the alameda board of education to reverse the district's decision. the alameda county board of education is expected to take up the appeal in a few weeks. >> the city of vallejo is trying to figure out why the water pressure spike is causing three water main breaks all over the city the many residents did not have water service for several hours last night. we have that story. >> this huge flow of water erupt ed around 4:00, and the city water distribution manager says the water main break was caused by a spike in pressure at the treatment laboratory in north vallejo which did not just cause one main to break but check out the scene here, where
