86 in the north bay valley to 99 inland today, and 70 in san francisco and 85 headed south bay. it will be cloudy at times and a lot of sunshine at the coast and mid-to-upper 60's. now, a check of the commute. leyla gulen? >> we are starting off with a sig-alert, all because of a tree that fell in the roadway, southbound 680 at parish road, we have one lane blocked and it hit a big rig, and so we have the southbound ramp to 680 shut down. we are at top speeds but it will take a while to clear at 40' long, so, we will go outside and take a look at drive in san jose as you come away from 17, to see a few cars out there making the drive away from 17, and it is top speeds out there and accident-free. >> president obama is preparing to deliver a key speech from the heart of silicon valley this morning. he will refer specifically to what california will pay for health care under his signature law. abc7 news reporter is at the

fairmont where the president is waking up. >> less than four hours away until the president gives the speech at the fairmont hotel. this will be, of course be his first public comments after the two private fundraisers that took place last night. shear video of the motorcade coming to the fairmont hotel. this morning the president will talk about the affordable health care act and what it will mean for efforts and talk about efforts to implement the law in california and those that do not have access of insurance highlighting efforts to enroll latinos. people are glad he is using the time to focus on policy and not just fundraising. >> that is good. really good. so it doesn't seem like he is here just to raise money to let everyone else know he is here on other business, as well. >> he needs to get out and raise

money for his programs not just financially but for what he believe ms. and what he wants to bring to california. >> the affordable health care act will require most mens to have health insurance by january 1, or pay a fine. subsidies available in california being one of 17 states to set up an insurance exchange. there are mixed result. california says the costs are less than predicted and other states are saying insurance rates will skyrocket. when the president's speech is over he will head to southern california where he is scheduled to have a meeting with the president of china. >> thank you, matt, and after leaving san jose this morning, president obama will head for the fundraiser in santa monica and spend the rest of the weekend in palm springs meeting with the new chinese president and governor brown will be there to welcome the president at the palm springs airport when he arrived. tomorrow, the governor is scheduled to meet with the

president xi at ary sort in indian wells, the latest business exchange between the governor and the chinese officials in the past year and a half. in april, governor brown visited shanghai and beijing and met with several chinese leaders. last year, in february, the governor held meetings with xi when he existed california as, then, vice president of china. xi wrapped up a visit to mexico. >> developing news this morning for people would shop at nob hill foods advising customs to check their credit and debit card statements for unusual charges after a massive cyber attack on the computers. amy? >> the customers listen up, your personal information could be out there in the wrong hands. railey's said they have been hit by a huge cyber attack and cannot confirm that unauthorized access has been made but, still, they are investigating this.

they are encouraging customers to check their bank and credit card statements for unauthorized trances -- transactions. we know we are the target but we do not know if it was successful. be aware. >> i always check my statement because i am paranoid. >> they have contacted the f.b.i. but it is hope that no customers have been impacted. so far, the investigation has not turned up any victims. they do have customer service representatives ready to go to answer questions and they advise customers if you see anything suspicious report it immediate immediately. >> a san francisco muni bus driver is credited with quick thinking and saving a life after someone opened fire on the vehicle. the bus driver realized immediately a passenger was injured and drove right away to san francisco general hospital. the bus had two bullet holes in the rear left window. officers on the gang task force

say three men fired into the bus after 2:00 p.m. in portrero hill neighborhood. the 22-year-old victim was either hit by flying glass or grazed by bullets but will be okay. >> activist whose took over a farm site in san francisco are being hold to leave or face aarrest. the land is located in a stretch of a block to oakland street. the activists have been roasting plans to build apartments. the city was supporting the temporary use of the hand by the farm since 2010 but they left last month when the city moved forward with plans to develop the site. >> today is the first friday the month and that means oakland will hold their monthly street festival. the tradition may end soon if volunteers do not come up with the necessary funds. thousands of people come to the popular festival that takes up five blocks along telegraph avenue but the city will stop subsidizing the festival after pumping half a president into first fridays.

it costs about $20,000 a month which includes money for security, street closings and permit fees. the oakland tribune reports the organizers have been reluctant to charge vendors and businesses that benefit from the event have not rallied to pitch in. >> this could be a chart cut back in the number of races in the challenger series leading up to the america's cup. according to the "san francisco chronicle", the artemis team may not be ready to sell the new 72' catamaran in time for the challenger series which will begin july 7. the 72' catamaran capsized last month killing a crew member. on tuesday, artemis returns for the first time since the accident practicing in its 45' catamaran. >> if you can get out on the bay today or tomorrow, wouldn't that be a nice way to beat the heat if. >> a great way. mike? >> it is cooler at the water but there is a small craft advisory for both the san francisco and

>> covering santa clara, and san francisco and the east bay, and a look at the embarcadero, and across the bay, just a few clouds. not very much this morning. we will give way to a warm, warm day with a real hot day ahead tomorrow. our meteorologist, mike nicco, has a lot more on the heat wave coming up. >> san francisco police believe that three bay area bank robbers wanted by the f.b.i. have struck again. the f.b.i. is offering a reward for the arrests and they hope someone will recognize the men in these photos and give them a call. authorities believe the same masked men are responsible for a bank robbery in san francisco's park side neighborhood yesterday saying another bank was held up by three men armed with guns with masks and hoodies, the fourth bay robbery in the area since april. >> this morning, city leaders in philadelphia are trying to figure out why complaints of demolition work at the site where a four story building clapped were not followed up on weeks before the disaster.

the building toppled on an adjacent store killing six people and injuring 14 others. city officials say a routine inspection found no violations at the property before demolition began. a lawsuit filed already yesterday seeks financial damages on behalf of a woman who was buried in rubble but survived. >> the condition of a dying ten-year-old pennsylvania girl in need of a lung transplant is worsening. safer sear is -- sarah murnaghas in a philadelphia hospital and the judge has an unusual order of playing her on the adult waiting list which is usually reserve for patients over the age of 12. younger children are on a separate list. the adult list has more donors. the family of a second child in need of a transplant has file suit to get their son on the adult waiting list and the 11 year old also has cystic fibrosis and is in the same hospital as sarah murnaghan. >> queen elizabeth's husband is

shirakawa is sentenced after leaving office in disgrace pleading guilty to 12 counts including five felonies including pudgery. the prosecution is seeking a one year jail sentence and he will be arraigned open a new felony charge saying he sent out illegal campaign flyers to help his former aide win a san jose city council seat in 2010. >> police in clayton say they will search the middle school today after a threatening message was written in a gill's bathroom. officials alerted parents about the message. they do not believe it is credible but better safe than sorry. they want to ensure the school is safe with extra police presence. >> the uproar over the government getting verizon phone records has grown. there are new reports that acts are tapping into the servers of leading internet companies.

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has details. >> data from verizon customers seemed like small potatoes now we are talking about online tracking. the "washington post" citing classified documents reports that the national security agency has direct access to the system of nine internet giants including microsoft, yahoo, google, facebook, pal talk, aol, skype, youtube, and at people. the n.s.a. can collect search history, e-mails, file transfers and chats but in statements, five of the companies deny any willing of this, microsoft, apple, facebook, google, and yahoo. the director of national intelligence says it is part of a classified program called prism started under president bush and renewed by congress. a whistleblower leaked the information because he felt it was a massive invasion of privacy. >> this guy feels very strongly

>> covering walnut creek, burlingame, campbell and all the bay area this is abc7 news. >> welcome back on friday morning. in that pa, florida, there is a school bus that flipped. you can see the bus is upside down resting on its roof. two students, along with the driver, were on board. the two boys crawled from the bus. they reported okay. the female bus driver was taken away on a stretcher and one boy says the accident was caused by another vehicle that ran a red light and slammed into the bus. >> senate leaders will debate today white house legislation to create a path to citizenship for those in the country unlawfully and take steps to secure borders against futile legal immigration. the bipartisan measure was approved last month by the judiciary committee and the republican controlled house voted yesterday to resume the deportation hundreds of thousands of immigrants who came to the united states illegally, a largely symbolic move to block

implementation of president obama's executive order to stop deporting so-called dream act individuals. >> three charter schools in oakland which rank among the top in the nation will remain open after a judge issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the school district from closing the school. the american indian model schools can now re-open on june 20 for the summer session. in march the oakland unified school direct revoked the chart are because of alleged financial improprieties. the decision was called a "temporary set back." the administration has appealed to the board of education to try to reverse the district decision. the alameda county board is expected to take up the appeal in a few weeks. >> the city of vallejo is trying to determine why the water pressure suddenly spiked causing three simultaneous water main breaks leaving many without water for hours. a huge flow of water erupted from vallejo around 4:00 p.m. yesterday and the city water official said that the break was

caused by a spike in pressure at a treatment plant in north vallejo which did not just cause one water main to break but a break left a sinkhole and a third break left close to 20 homes with little to no water. >> it is inconvenient not to have water but it would be helpful if they told us that it was off. we didn't know we had no water physical we didn't have any. >> crews worked well into the night to fix the main is water could be restored to residents. >> a bay area group is leaving today for tornado-damaged moore, oak oh, with inspired gifts. volunteers have turned fabric into super hero capes and will hand out 250 to pre-school and kindergarten students who survived the tornado that it willed 24. the organization started making
