going get quite the story when asking what did you do today? it's a field trip they'll never forget. 31 children in san francisco bay view neighborhood were on their way to the cable car museum. two other modes of transportation collided one of the s line street cars said to be traveling 10 miles per hour rear ended a muni bus as it's pulling up to a stop at 7th and market. >> i saw a little girl really traumatized and seeming -- she was crying for mom and dad. she reminds me of my little 4-year-old granddaughter. i was shaken. >> officials say none of the childrens were seriously hurt. >> one of the little girls said to me well with a field trip, now i'm going to take a

and we're continuing to monitor the situation in colorado near colorado springs. this is a live overhead view of the area where they're saying as many as 100 homes will go up in flames here. a lot of these are luxury properties and terrain making it doifl fight the fires. there is no word on how long this may go on. you can see it's heavily tree lined area. >> it's devastating here in this area. they're having a difficult time gaining control on this. >> aside from drops from above you don't see a lot of firefighters on the ground.

we're monitoring the wildfire in colorado springs right now. this is one of the homes going in flames. there are major evacuations underway and the u.s. forest service is mobilizing two cargo planes to help fight this fire. you can see the air attack here. there have been thousands of residents evacuated in the area as well as a thousand from a prison. >> i heard one homeowner. he was talking about how he spent his life trying to build a property with all of your memories then, one day, everything is just gone. right before your eyes and there is nothing you can do about it. >> yes this, is difficult. they're dependent on air

the family of the 10-year-old pennsylvania girl in need of a lung transplant got the call they've been waiting for. her case led to a temporary change of organ transplant rules allow herg to receive a set after dult lungs. -- of adult lungs. >> it's the call the 10-year-old's family had been spending sleepless nights waiting to get get. the little girl slipping away as she waited for a new pair of lungs is getting the life-saving surgery her parents have fought hard for. >> right now i feel like we have a chance. we have hope. we've got the best surgeon in the country. and they're operating on my baby. i just feel like this is a new beginning for sarah. >> hope after the dire pleas she made last week.
