afternoon. a man and woman were shot. paramedics rushed both to the hospital but the man died. the woman suffered life-threatening injuries and bullets shattered the glass of the bus stop and hit an apartment building. no word on a description of the gunman other a motive. >> new details in an amber alert case from antioch. police arrested the father of the child, a 23-year-old father is in jail on charges of child endangerment and domestic violence for kidnapping his baby at gunpoint and firing at least one shot in the air before taking off. he dropped the 11-month-old girl off with a relative who was reunited with her mother. it was a big misunderstanding according to the family. >> a man filed a complaint against the police department in concord after an officer shot his elderly dog. police say the officers responded to a burglary call at the home of the man and the 13

it has been very drive above sacramento with a high fire danger. it will lower the fire danger for a few days but not enough to soak into the grass when the warming trend returns. >> pleatologist mike nicco is here. we need you, buddy. >> there is a lot going on. it is not enough to make things green just temporarily put out the fire danger. we can always use wet weather but could use more around san francisco and oakland and concord and south where we have the lightest amount. some places north of mill valley in the hills have received over 1" of rain so far. the best radar return is to the north. headed off to the east is where we still have storms and those are going to continue heading off that way. we will keep an eye on the flight arrival delays here and, also, headed over to the east coast today if you are taking off any time soon.
