today. it has been four years since bad weather forced waterworld to close in the summer. >> the supreme court could decide this morning to overturn california's ban on same-sex marriage. abc7 news reporter cornell bernard is at city hall. >> good morning. the rain is not putting a damper on the growing anticipation of a possible ruling by the supreme court. the city attorney and staff are arriving to work early if san francisco waiting for any news. the gay pride flag is still hanging over the front door. the supreme court will announce more rulings today at 7:00 a.m. specific time which could bring the long-awaited decision on prop 8 that will decide the fate of same-sex marriage in california. prop 8 could be uphold, struck down, or invalidated by a lower court ruling that declared it unconstitutional.

from the rain that fell last night. you can see the residual moisture on the embarcadero. as far as the forecast, it will be wet with the best chance for wide-spread rain this morning, dry and clearing, finally, by tomorrow evening. that means to the coast it will be warm to hot this weekend and some of the models show triple digits inland toward saturday and sunday. a warm front is bringing us this gradual rain. that is what happens when you get warm air with the cool front in the afternoon hours and we can get scattered showers. you do not get the gradual rain but what falls, falls briefly and in a little more intensity but i don't expect a lot of rain from the system. today is the last day for our showers and the jet stream will pull to the north. at 7:00 this morning, it will be wet all during the commute, up until noon, and during the afternoon hours, you can see a

abc7 news kira klapper is on the scene with new developments. >> that right. three people were shot, two are in critical condition. we have recently learned that one of the people in critical condition is the suspect himself. look at this scene, two blocks from the converted warehouse where this occurred. san francisco police are wrapping up the investigation. they will leave in the next 45 minutes. we have video from an sure ago when it was a were more active scene. at 2:30 three men broke into the home. they shot a william and -- shot a woman and a man. they had their young children at home and theyens withed the shooting. the children were transported to the hospital for observation. one of the victims got a hold of the suspect's guns and used it own gun to shoot him. the other two gunmen got away. take a listen. >> it appears they escaped on

alert that unfolded in antioch, police arrested the child's father and he is in jail on child endangerment and domestic violence and accused kidnapping his baby at gunpoint yesterday and firing at least a shot in the air before taking off. police say he dropped the 11-month-old girl with a relative would was reunited with her mother. the family says it was a big misunderstanding. >> a concord man filed a complaint against the police department after an officer shot his elderly dog. police say the officers responded to a burglary call at a home lat week and officers got there, the 13-year-old cocker growled and the officer then opened fire on the dog. >> when is it okay to shoot an elderlying do because you feel threatened? if you are scared of that maybe you don't have any business being a police officer.
