a concord teacher is under arrest this morning for allegedly abusing kids at school. police began investigating the the man in aim after getting reports he touched students inappropriately. they say there could be a dozen possible victims, ranging in age from 11 to 17. he's being held at the martinez jail on almost $4 million bail. starting monday californians will pay the highest gasoline tax in the nation. it will increase 3.5 cents to nearly 71 cents a gallon. additional funds will go to state highway and mass transit projects. this week marks the end of the line for nextel, the cell phone provider known for their walkie-talkie button. >> that sound will soon be a piece of history. nextel was the first phone to act like a walkie-talkie, but sprint will be shutting that

experiencing temperatures well into the triple digits from the north and east bay, the santa clara valley, and also the santa cruz mountains. tonight we should see the temperatures stay in the 70s. in fact, it's in the 80s above 2,000 feet right now. the elevation with the warmer air and a big dome of high pressure continuing to strengthen the next several days, it's to the east of us and it's building westward. it will stay with us for the next three or four days. it won't be until it loosens its grip that we get a system out of the northwest that kicks up the sea bees and the low clouds and fog. statewide once again several records, 107 in sacramento, 103 yesterday in reno. today about the same with dangerously hot conditions in southern california, as well. and the desert over 120 degrees. in the south bay today you were at the 2 yesterday in san jose, 96 today. up he were 90s redwood stay.
