but there is a responsibility to monitor he's getting what he asked for. >> pilot who's were flying the plane told investigators he saw light moments before landing. >> ntsb reports pilot fatigue did not seem to be part of the reason. >> runway clearing will be beginning tonight. ntsb hoping to have that done within 24 hours, we're hearing about what went on in the cabin whit crashed including 911 calls from the plane and people grabbing their luggage before evacuated. mark, you saw some of the emotional flight attendants. >> well it was the briefest of the news conferences today at the international terminal.

hospitalized. san francisco general released four patients overnight. three are in critical condition. four patients still receiving care at stanford hospital. no peninsula -- mill peninsula treating three patients. >> one of the remarkable aspects is how passengers did something you're not supposed to do. a lot of people grabbed bags as they rushed off the plane that. is a no no. we're told to leave stuff on the plane. >> that is right. for many, bags are everything. but faa evacuation does save leave your possessions behind. images of the smoke are dramatic enough. something else is also startling.

this cable caught officials by surprise. the time line for the span to open was pushed back to early december. today said a temporary fix would be much better than leaving all of the traffic on the old bridge. >> there is no question about it what we should do. >> the head of the pier review panel overseeing the project says the decision to push back until 32 broken bolts are retro fitted is unnecessary and potentially dangerous. >> i don't want to waste a day longer than necessary because we can't k.have an earthquake at any time. >> the suggestion of a temporary fix would allow the new span to open sooner came during a briefing before the toll authority. idea was a bit of a surprise to caltrans and officials.

firefighter injured in a house fire on fall's creek drive. crew arrived the home was inflames. firefighters believed the fire started on the second floor of the two-story house. the injured firefighter suffered minor burns and was taken to the hospital then released. >> a california public pension fund says it's holding off on a plan to post retiree

coast socked in once again. upper 50s to low 60s. inland spots down into low 90s, check out moisture moving in from the south. southern california is getting such of this, we're watching some of this heading towards our direction as well. temperatures right now most areas running cooler except for half moon bay. 14 degrees cooler. santa rosa down 16 degrees. 14 degrees cooler in livermore this, had something to do with it. you can see fog around 1200 feet deep now. oakland 68. 78 degrees in the foggy location.

you're seeing the temperatures. santa rosa 74 degrees, 77 degrees. here is some of the high clouds that we're getting from the south. from our san jose camera. we don't have to wonder about thunderstorms but will see fog and high clouds tonight. cooler next two days, bay and inland and a warmer pattern setting up for weekend plans tonight fog, not just near the coast but over the bay and into some of the valleys. temperatures low 50s to low 6 ows. high clouds continue to move in from the south into morning and then, shift to the east. our cooling trend will continue but will be a sunny one for thursday afternoon. highs thursday in the south bay 74 milpitas.
