were armed. one of them is on the run. this happen at 10:30 last night here in alameda on high street at santa clara. the bonfare market is where it occurred and the robbers did not realize that one shopper was a sheriff deputy. >> there was an off-duty alameda county sheriff deputy inside at the time and we are not sure exactly what happened but the deputy ended up shooting and killing a suspect who was armed and possibly shot the second suspect. >> they are now checking local hospitals to see if that second suspect will show up looking for medical treatment. they are asking for anyone with information or if you see something suspicious, an injured man on the run, give them a call. do not confront him. he could be armed.

protesters facing other lawsuits from those who say they have not been paid for services. walnut creek police are searching if they more squatters after arresting two in a raid on a multimillion dollar house in the east bay. investigators say the house is for sale and was empty for a few weeks. the owner realized the looks were changed. a man came to the door and claimed to lease the house. the owner reported this to the police. >> during the period, several individuals broke into the residence and set up a situation where it appears they had a lease agreement and essentially they were squatting here. >> police say they ran background checks on the alleged renters and found they had a hit of drug and illegal weapons possessions and two were arrested and one was armed. police also found an assault weapon inside the house. this wasn't the first trip to the house for police. when they went before the man told them he was a renter and actually showed them the fake lease. officers left believing it was
