police say the truck hit a motorcyclist. the rider taken to san francisco general hospital with sinz. his super visor told him to stay with the truck but he left. our sources say he disappeared 90 minutes and say the video places him at the bar. he was later tested for drugs and alcohol at the fire house. it showed he had a blood alcohol reading of.13, legal driving limit is the.08. abc 7 examined the letter skk commitsers to fire quinn. she listed 15 reasons why he should be terminated among them unsafe operation of a fire vehicle drunkenness and entering an establishment that

officials tell us they're not sure if the fire truck that struck a teenager after the crash of flight 214 was equipped with new infrared technology designed to detect someone in the path. she was hid ben by foam of the officials tell us the first four trucks that responded are equipped with infrared equipment. the smaller engine was not. they don't know which truck actually hit her saying the smaller engines are not required to have the sensors. >> we're hearing from the wife of limo driver orville brown. she says shaed a heated phone conversation with him before the limo scene he was driving caught fire on the san mateo bridge killing five passengers.

arrest for leading the coast guard on a slow-speed chase. the pursuit went on for hours. mark matthews standing by at golden gate with details. john mckorm yaikz on board. she was moored in richardson bay. the coast guard noticed she had no registration numbers on the bow and they stopped to investigate. the routine stop turned into a chase, the coast guard told reporters it started when the skipper refused to allow anyone on board. >> i came aup long side the sailing vessel. master said if you come on board you'll be met with violence. >> the captain cut mooring lines and then sailed away. two and a half miles out to sea the 85 foot cutter convinced the boat's owner to

allow a boarding party. >> came on board, and when the boarding officer was doing a initial talking with the master, the master lunged and attacked the officer. >> the coast guard team was able to subdue the captain, identified as david john mccormick. reportedly took an hour to read his rights because he couldn't stop talking long enough to listen. the coast guard reports he had two pass ports one from new zealand, one from ireland and told them he bought the boat several years ago and had it berthed in berkeley. but berkeley marina says they have no record of a david john mccormick. the coast guard met today with an assistant u.s. attorney. mccormick arrested for assault but more charges may be added before he's brought into court. investigators looking into the possibility mccormick may be responsible for a rash of phony distress calls.

a court jury could award tens of mill dwroinz a man who designed the first john madden video games. the former program for electronic arts came wupt idea to design a football video game with 22 realistic looking players he claims he should have been paid for five versions that he claims were based on the original game. electronic arts contends he was a contract worker whose work was discarded when other teams build more modern versions of the game. the madden video games generated $4 million over the past 25 years.
