>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> this is the damage left behind after an early morning burglary at a gunshot and shooting range with a dramatic chase and weapons thrown out of the window as suspects try to get away. >> good morning, everyone. santa clara police credit sophisticated and stealthy alarm systems for helping them quickly get the suspects. abc7 news reporter mart -- matt keller is at the range.

>> the owner has been working on cleaning up the mess left by the burglars. >> the owner of the indoor range in santa clara could laugh just a few hours after a very serious crime was committed at his business. an alarm was triggered at 3:00 after burglars hit the window first and finally succeeded in getting inside through this window. >> they had to get through a heavy gated area and when they got in there, they were able to grab a little bit of merchandise and guns. >> they grabbed two rifles and five handguns. police arrived as the suspects were driving off. a short chase ended half a mile away with the stolen weapons dumped from the suspects' vehicle. two got out and ran and a woman stayed with the car. all three were arrested. they were identified as 26 and 28-year-old brothers, and a

39-year-old all from san jose. police and the company credit the alarms, gate and oh features they want to keep secret for the quick arrest. >> it is alarming but it is an example of all the safety mechanisms in place, working, to safegar the community. it can happen to anyone, any business, any time but because of our sophisticated system everything was involved and they were apprehended. that is most important. >> the three suspects face self charges including burglary and resisting arrest. in santa clara for abc7 news. >> new this morning, a warning for residents after two recent reports in san carlos of reports of two peeping toms. they kurd between 9:00 and 11:00 at night in the none part of san carlo when to different women were taking showers in their bathroom. >> business in trying to move into downtown san jose over the objections of neighbors and city

officials. a gentleman's clip is opening in a historic building. there is a ban on all adult businesses but the club is considered an entertainment venue. neighboring business owners are not happy about the club several people went this to apply for jobs last night. police say the club has ruled it follows involving security, alcohol, and nudity. the public will have a chance to weigh in when the owners apply for conditional use permit extension in the fall. >> new this evening, a bizarre incident in san jose. police say a man trying to buy drugs at a parkay tacked two dogs when a hand saw before being bitten. witnesses say it started when a 55-year-old homeless man and three others asked a man for marijuana. when they ignored him the suspect attacked their dog. one of the dogs bit the man and he tried to run away but was tackled by another group who kicked and punched him.

he suffered bite wounds and bruises and the dogs were cut but should recover. >> happening now in san francisco, parks are getting a high tech upgrade with the help of google. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is where the announcement just came down. >> they just announced the city is going to offer free wi-fi at 31 of the parks. this is because of a very generous donation or gift from google. the company giving the city $600,000 to make this possible. city officials point out that san francisco is very behind on this front saying that cities like new york and paris already have wi-fi in their parks. they say this will make it easier for people to spend more time in san francisco's parks and enjoy them. >> it will further up our parks and city to innovation, education, and inclusiveness for all residents but also as i

mentioned it is a significant step toward bridging our digital divide in our city. it provides local community groups and residents access to the internet they may not have had before. >> he points out that some park offices use dialup connection so when you register your family with the department, for instance, you will appreciate the new efficiency. installation begins in december and they expect it to be complete by the spring. >> breaking news, prince george of cambridge is the name of the future king. prince william and the duchess announced the name 40 minutes ago. today, the duke and duchess let their home at kensington palace. this morning, with their newborn son, you can just catch a look of kate and the baby carrier if the back seat.

his great grandmother, the queen and his uncle swung by the palace if a visit. the boy was born on monday. official royal family photos of will, kate, and their new son are taken in the next few weeks. in richmond, police called to the city council chambers when protesters disrupted the meeting . this is video from the facebook page of richmond council member and some protesters screamed bringing the meeting to a halt and the "contra costa times" reports the reason is not cheer but the council has been dealing with loud disruptions at meetings including hated speech directed at gays. police emptied the chambers and people who wanted to address the counsel were brought back in, in groups five. the richmond mayor said that when a handful of community members are repeatedly and willfully disrupting city council meetings, the majority of community members which have

come to address pressing issues of the city, have their free speech infringed upon. >> a man is in custody facing charges he stole a golden gate transit bus from a bus lot in novato yesterday afternoon. police spotted the bus in santa rosa a few hours later they arrested the 48-year-old man. last week, a man stole an a.c. transit bus from san francisco and was arrested later. happening now, artemis is on the san francisco bay sailing their new catamaran for the first time since a deadly accident. this racing vessel has new safety features in case of an accident. the boat's clear sail allows the teammates to see if anyone is trapped. andrew such son was killed may nine when the yacht collapsed during practice. >> if you smell something funny on the peninsula today, do not be alarmed, pg&e will vent natural gas in san carlos.

crews will work near commercial street venting natural gas throughout the day. it smells sort of like rotten eggs. pg&e will also be sending out a robocall to let people know what is happening. >> new spin on incarceration. people convicted of lesser crimes can now pay to stay in a hotel-like jail and avoid county jail altogether. fremont is starting the new pay to stay program at the police detention facility. people convicted of misdemeanors such as petty theft or d.u.i. can pay to stay as a facility while serving time. it costs $45 and $155 a day after that. inmates get the same cot, blanket, and food as those in county jail and they have to get approval from police and a judge. the city hopes it will bring if extra money. >> next on abc7 news refusing to drop out, new york city mayoral

different than yesterday tracking dry air and a lack of radar runs. the threat any time of precipitation out of the forecast but for the morning drizzle we get along the coast with the marine layer clouds that will come back and signal a change back to a normal weather pattern in the next couple of days. we have bay breezes that will kick up from 2:00 to 9:00 into the delta, west wind around 15- to 25-knots and right now, all of us around 15 miles per hour or slower, and fairfield not very impressive sea breeze. that is idea temperatures are warmer only slightly and the dry air will mix in. at the coast we have clouds thinner there. we still have flight arrival delays in sfo but only 29 minutes. if you need them our flight tracker is there at abc7news.com. 59 at half moon bay is the cool spot. 61 in san francisco. 68 in san carlos. everyone else is at least 70 or 82 in san ramon and antioch and

81 if livermore. san jose is 72 right now and novato is 77. from mount tamalpais tam you can see san francisco and the upper left happened of the screen and sausalito, sunny there, and clouds will continue to thin over the next couple of hours. if you are headed to the beach it will be brighter and remain warmer there today, also, like the rest of us. marine clouds are coming back bringing a milder weather in our overnight hours. it looks like near normal with fluctuations in the temperature but we are not going to have wild springs or threats of wet weather. here is san jose this morning, you can see just a few clouds and we will call it mostly sunny and you will warm up one degree to 81 and everyone else is around three to six degrees this afternoon. the reason why we are seeing more sunshine while most of us were sleeping, look at the monsoon flow it moved up to the north and all the moisture it brings with it went that way and we have mid-and-upper level dry air coming in and that is why we don't have the clouds or the let of wet weather.

in santa clara, 88 when the 49ers kickoff. not too bad. 80 sunnyville and morgan hill and gilroy, may need gatorade. low 80's on most of the peninsula, and cooler around millbrae and 72 and mid-60's loan the coast this afternoon to near 70 in downtown and south san francisco and sauce least. low-to-mid 80's through the north bay valley and 20 degrees cooler at your beaches and we will be in the mid-to-upper 70's along the east bay shore and further inland and castro valley we could hit the low 80's and warmest in the east bay valley, upper 80's to low 90's. this is how it looks at&t park from our south beach camera, we will roll out the forecast there and we are going to have 60 degrees at 6:15 dropping down to 50 as we wrap up the set with the reds. for the weekend, not too far away, tomorrow we are a couple of degrees warmer away from the coast. we will lose those for friday,
