>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> good morning, i am matt keller. >> the breaking news is from the east bay where a high speed chase ended when the suspects crashed the car. >> abc7 news katie marzullo is on the scene. katie? >> matt and kristen they crashed the car where i am standing at orchard. look behind us: this is what is left of the scene, an overturned fire hydrant under a police cone at the corner. it is drive the you will not believe what led up to this. look at the video of the fire hydrant after it was hit. we will try to get the video as soon as we can.

a police officer at 2:15 who was patrolling at pontiac street saw someone firing a gun out of a car and we have reports that some cars, parked cars, were pit but no reports of injuries. the officer sees this is follows the person and calls to backup to pull the car over. when he pulled the car over the car gave chase. coming to end, now, where you see this video and the fire hydrant spewing water in the air in san leandro four or five miles away. the car, after a police pursuit, crashed here and people remain arrested. those who were arrested also were taken to the hospital, possibly with some minor injuries after the crash. a very wet and wild morning here in san leandro. we will check with mike nicco.

minutes away from highway 4 down to the 24 junction. mass transit showing everything on time, bart, transit and muni, no delays out here and as we look outside this is the drive to the north bay and 101 freeway as you come in the southbound direction to 580, we can see a too lifeguards and not too bad at this hour. kristen? >> developing news this morning, oakland police are searching for clues in the shooting of a 66-year-old woman who was killed while driving in the fairfax district. the 66-year-old judy salamon lived less than a mile from where she was shot yesterday afternoon before 1:30. multiple shots were fired and after judy salamon was shot her car crashed into a parked car. they do not know what led up to the shooting or who fired shots. detectives are looking at surveillance video from the area. >> we are not sure how many suspects, if we are looking at one or several responsible for

the shooting. >> judy salamon is from canada but lived in oakland for decades and she loved animals and would walk neighborhood dogs. >> happening right now, workers finished their repairs on a ruptured natural gas pipeline in alamo that force add large evacuation. look right now at the seen on danville boulevard. crews ramped up repairs after working through the night to get it done. a construction crew hit a gas line yesterday morning and police evacuated homes and businesses within 1,000' of the line. everyone was let back in five hours later. abc7 news reporter aim ape will -- amy hollyfield will join us at 5:30. >> maryland merchandise, there was a marine fire in edgewater west of annapolis. three boats caught fire this morning and you can see the burned out shells still tied to the dock. one is sinking. a few file is still burning in

the water near the boats and crews are keeping a close eye on it but will let it burn itself out. >> the remains of the three girls killed in the crash of asiana flight 214 will be cremated today according to chinese reports. the families of the three teens took part in a private service at the cemetery in colma, yesterday. san francisco mayor and their chinese council general spoke during the ceremony along with the families. they will take their ashes back to china on saturday. all three victims attended the same school on china's eastern coast. in redwood city, an attorney is working with law firms representing half dozen of the crash victims. he says right now, flight political is trying to settle cases before lawsuits are filed. >> i have not heard any first-hand information that asiana flight 214 is pressuring passengers to sign away their rights but i will tell you in every major aviation disaster i

today. >> foggy in san francisco, mine, but that is not the case everywhere in the bay area. >> that is true. the fog is limited to mostly san francisco and along the coast. you can see the embarcadero center where that cloud cover is hanging around and the air quality has low amounts of tree and ragweed and low mold and pollen and ozone is moderate to low but the u.v. index is high today. this is how it looks south side, you can see it is dark in most areas and we are waiting for the sun to come up and when it does, a chance of beautiful shots from the cameras. temperatures are in the mid-to-upper 50's through 7:00 and a few areas inland will still be in the low 60's. it will be mild to warm at noon with total sunshine but for the coast at 60 to 78 inland and microclimate will veteran develop nicely in the afternoon, from 62 at the coast to 90 being conservative inland and some areas could be in the mid-to-upper 90's in the east bay sea. at 7:00, we will have clouds at

tourists are being wanted to stay away. the beach is two hours east of d-day beach. >> the owner of a natural gas drilling rig says preparations are underway for probably drilling a relief well to divert gas fuel the fire. these are coast guard pictures of the well where the inferno buns in the gulf of mexico about 55 miles off the louisiana coast. an effort to divert the gas is complicated and could take weeks to accomplish. officials say this will be not near as damaging at the b.p. oil spill that spewed millions of gallons of oil into the gulf of mexico in 2010. >> a new washington post/abc news poll shows the majority of americans support legal abortion. 55 percent say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. 41 percent believe it should be illegal in most cases. and 56 percent say they prefer to impose limits on abortion

clouds around the coast and some of the fog is trying to slip into the by as we speak and mount tamalpais back to the east, and we will talk about the forecast. my three highlights, and we will expand over the next minute or so, summer spread this afternoon from 60's at the coast to almost triple digits in the east bay neighbors and mild tonight with fog like this morning, and slightly cooler this weekend, and probably see the biggest drop in temperatures in our inland east bay neighbor. you can see along the coast trying to push across the bay the next two or three hours by 10:00, well out of our inland neighborhood and by noon it is back to the coast where you can see a lot of sunshine developing compared to yesterday as we head in the afternoon we will see more sunshine and the high country, look at that, scattered thunderstorms are possible from reno to mammoth. as far as our temperatures, mid 80's in the south bay until you get to los gatos and gilroy, 90 and santa cruz is 76 with the

water in the 50's. upper 80's -- no, upper 70's in san mateo to low-to-mid 80's at the rest of peninsula, half moon bay is 65, a warm spot on the coast with sun then setting at 62 temperature. 75 in sausalito and 90 in san rafael and none in novato, the warm spot in the north bay and in the throw mid-60's along your coast and mid-to-upper 70's for the east bay shore and hercules low-to-mid 80's and most uncomfortable wet today mid-90's to around 100, from 93 in pleasanton to 99 in brentwood. we have a game with angels in town take on the a's and we drop down to 59 under partly shouldy sky by 10:00. here is the seven-day forecast, you can see by mound we lose ten degrees inland in the upper 80's and we lose six degrees in the

hollyfield has that story. >> this will make alamo residents very happy: danville boulevard is re-opened. this just happened in the half hour. crews worked through night on the repairs. traffic can go through without any problem. they were fixing yesterday's mess a mud crew hit half inch gas line and officials evacuate add three-square block area downtown at 10:30 in the morning with businesses shutting down. a spokesman says the workers checked the markers that show where pg&e pipes are located but this gas line wasn't marked. they did not know it was there. >> a lot utilities when you dig, there are a lot of pipes under ground and many, many pipes have markings that are moved because of earth and changes that happen in the subdivisions and the markings are not always this.

>> welcome back, a mother is face manslaughter following a deadly rollover crash in may that killed her five-year-old daughter. investigators say the 30-year-old mother was speeding when she lost control of her s.u.v. on may 20. the s.u.v. rolled over ejected her five-year-old daughter who was not secured in a seatbelt or child safety seat. her seven-year-old daughter and two teens and another adult were injured. no one was wearing a seatbelt. she was arrested yesterday afternoon and is expected to be arraigned today or tomorrow. >> a ride they will never
