talking about now. we still have fire burning there along edges. the black part has been charred but no homes threatened at this point. >> homes across the way is what everybody is concerned about. cal fire is giving aerial support with one of their helicopters dropping retardant on thchl a number of crews on the scene here trying to stop advance of the flames. and this is the old naval weapons area. this is caught fire here and of course big concern was this plant because they didn't want this to burn in that direction. we can tell you it's burned away from the plant. >> zooming back out here, you can see a ridge of fire is burning. there don't appear to be homes there. the smoke has been reduced won't you say? so these are positive signs zooming back in here to try to

a high-speed chase ended like this this morning. a car crashing near williams street. this started in oakland when police went to check out a call of shots fired this a neighborhood. they arrive asked chased a car until it smashed. officers arrested a man and woman and say the car was stolen. >> some frightening moments at this salon.

a car plowed through the front door. police say it happened around 9:20 when a 92-year-old woman hit the gas instead of the break. -- brake. four people were inside at the time. no one was hurt. the driver walked back into the salon and had her hair done. police did not cite her in this accident. >> ask sky 7 sky 7 hd in bay >> it did burn away from the plant. started on federal property at the there is a neighborhood near here. the flames did not jump. none of the homes is considered threatened. >> winds have not been a real

county appearing to be under control at this point. it's been burning a large area near a chemical plant in bay point this, started around 1:00 this afternoon on federal property at the site of the former concord naval weapons station. it's spread beyond that property, flames were burning up against port chicago highway. a concern about homes being threatened. turned out not to be the case, crews set up on the highway and near homes and flames did not zwlaump road. the fire mostly out, but crews are still putting out hot spots. we continue to monitor it and you can continue to follow our property on twitter on abc 7 news bay ear now to that deadly train derailment in spain. 80 people are dead, one is an american. police say they plan to question the train's driver both as a witness and possible suspect. they believe speed is a factor in this crash. >> this is the aftermath of
