>> there is mist and drizzle, the drizzle is along the coast and mist is hanging in the air. visibility is okay. i would not worry about that. clouds and 55 at the bay and mostly sunny and mid-60's by noon and mid-to-upper 60's and cooler than yesterday around the bay but a lot of sunshine this afternoon and grab the coat. we drop to 70 and are in the pickets in the evening hours with all of the activities today. the next 12 hours inland, the day planner is 59 with the clouds in the north bay and a few clouds in the east bay hills and noon is 72 degrees, and 84 inland and below average and not so hot this evening and 75 degrees. at the coast we go from clouds and the fog to sunny for the better part of the afternoon topping out in the low 60's. now, all the accidents with leyla gulen. >> we have a sig-alert on the

incline of the bay bridge. we have a look at this drive which is absolutely jam packed and we have emergency responders on the scene and they did have two lanes blocked off so three lanes are clear and two are blocked. the bay bridge toll plaza is slammed, just a sea of headlights going nowhere. the metering lights are on but that doesn't matter because of the accident and we will keep you updated on the details. >> thank you. breaking news in santa clara, there is police activity at shopping from with a report from the scene that a woman was attacked inside her home overnight and possibly was assaulted. we have a news crew headed that way now. >> san jose firefighters responded overnight to a terrible accident that destroyed a car and trapped the driver. firefighters showed these photos of with midnight.

the driver lost control and crashed into two trees. the driver had to be cut from the car. in word on the condition. >> developing news, a 15-year-old girl is safe after surviving a horrific ordeal. authorities say two men held her as a sex slave and forced her to work on a marijuana growing operation. abc7 news reporter katie marzullo is in the newsroom. >> what the 15-year-old girl told authorities about the kidnapping is very disturbing. federal agents have uncovered evidence that backs up the story. it started when agents uncovered a large growing operation north of the bay area if lake county on the property they found, as well, sexual bond average equipment and a noose and homemade wooden rack used to immobilize a person. a 4' long 2' wide box with air holes. the 15-year-old was kept in the box for three days at a time and forced into sex act and trimming the pot plants.

they said she was a trooper because she didn't scream inside the box and they order her to not mess up because there was a lot money on the "grow." the agents found a thousand marijuana plants mostly more than 6' tall and a group of 22 weapons, mostly loaded. police arrested ryan baletto found at a site and patrick pearmain who was found at a sacramento motel with the teen girl. right now the men are facing drug charges including the use of a minor in a drug operation, kidnapping chances are sure to follow the girl disappeared in los angeles in april and authorities say there are indications that there may have been other victims. >> thank you. more developing news, fremont police are it will looking for a home invasion suspect who escaped after a stand off from inside a family home members went door-to-door looking for the man and the area was on lockdown for hours after the

suspect broke into a home and people more sprayed the woman when she opened the door. her husband rushed to the door and they struggled. the couple and their children manage the to escape. there are new details of the 62-year-old woman found dead in an apartment a complex at 10:30 on wednesday morning. this is the scene and police say the woman was not the victim of a homicide. investigators said she died after an assault of some sort and now that does not appear to be the case. in san francisco a teen described as a ringleader of a retail theft ring is under arrest. the 19-year-old was taken in custody and transported to the bay area yesterday after leading commercial burglaries over two months. $100,000 in stolen goods have been reported.

>> an internal audit by the california state university system is revealing questionable travel expenses by an employee and the newspaper reports the employee works in the risk management decision. the questionable travel expenses include the tour of a giraffe center and stays in london, and tel aviv, and new york, and san francisco, and a statement says the employee has reimbursed the university. the trips by one unidentified employeed ad up to $159,000. >> the nevada hospital accused of busing hundreds of mentally ill patients to california and other states will not appeal the decision taking away the accreditation. the agency that acredited the hospitals denied accreditation to the psychiatric hospital in las vegas. the hospital has the ride to appeal but the sacramento bee

tremendous jam at the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see the track is basically not moving and is at a complete standstill unless you are in the car pool lane. that is causing huge backups coming away from the maze so the cars, really, are not going anywhere. on the maps, i can show you how it is hooking across the maze. right now we have a sig-alert to place and berkeley is starting to load up at 61 miles per hour but it is slowing down emeryville along 580 and that is slowing with no word when this will clear up but we have a sig-alert blocking two lanes of the incline on the bay bridge the second sig-alert of the morning with another one if vallejo. if you are traveling along sonoma boulevard southbound the ramp to eastbound 37 be shut down until further notice because of an overturned tractor trailer leaking fuel. it is busy out there, we hope the weather department is

>> we are learning new details on the deadly train crash in spain. investigators are focusing on the engineer. we showed you video of the train racing around the curb wednesday at more than double the speed limit at 110 miles per hour. a woman from virginia was killed and the engineer is up investigation. several blogs say the 52 year old engineer posted this photo last yes of the train speedometer and bragged about the speed. the posting has been removed. >> toyota is retaining the title as the largest automaker, announcing they sold 4.91 million cars from january to june. general motors told 4 why 85 million -- 4.85 million. g.m. held the top speed for seven years.

on the bay bridge, look at this backup through berkeley and emeryville, not moving anywhere. you can see what this accident looks like. this is going to be from emeryville and it will show you a lot of emergency crews on the scene and two lanes are blocked right now and you can see traffic inching its way by so three lanes get you by and there is causing backup conditions at the toll plaza and this is minor injury accident enough to shut down the lanes and you can see the traffic is stopped in this area. folks are passing by and they are saying the accident looks pretty bad but they are trying to get this cleared and no word when the lanes will re-open but it is causing enough damage for the commute. plan ahead. maybe even take mass transit. >> mike nicco? >> it is quiet out there as far

is held up so we will get with our manager in the middle of the drive. jim, tell us whatever expensing. how is the drive? >> good morning, yes, i got beyond the accident and it will take me an hour to get from work from oakland to san francisco. i got stuck in the maze for half an hour from the maze to the metering lights and the big challenge is when you get beyond the metering lights everyone moves over to the right lanes and i passed the accident but there is a last call they are putting on a tow truck and i counted three or four tow trucks and i saw an ambulance went by earlier and obviously when you get beyond the wreck on the incline, it starts to move fast and it looks like the tail end of the accident scene is being cleaned up but it is still a mess especially when people realize they all have to funnel

clear up. you can see the accident itself looks like it is cleared and this is good news, indeed, and we are see traffic moving but we will show you the backup in a little bit. mike nicco has a nice forecast. >> absolutely. the weather is not an obstacle. there was mist early but that is confined to the higher elevations. live doppler 7 hd is dry. we will jump right in the forecast the next 12 hours with the day planner starting off with clouds and mid-50 and el be mostly sunny by noon but the usual hair has cloud cover stretching to berkeley and oakland, and cooler in the afternoon hours, so grab the coats this evening we will be in the mid-60's. most of the clouds are in the north bay right now, we are in the mid-to-upper 50's and sunny by noon and 72 and the

said a man was if her apartment and he rained her. i asked if she was throatened, and we heard reports that a box cutter could have been used and they are looking into what was used. they say this is all still under investigation but no one is in custody. they have not made any arrests. she is being checked at the hospital. i asked if she will be okay and they said it appears she is physically okay but right now they are trying to figure out what evidence they have at the scene they need to preserve and trying to find her attacker. >> from contra costa county a high speed we chase with a suspect and a c.h.p. ended with a your crash in martinez this morning. the drive of the toyota crashed when he took the exit too fast. two people in the car were hurt

including a passenger who was air lited to a local hospital. the driver was taken by ambulance. according to the c.h.p. the chase began when officers tried to pull the car over to driving recklessly. >> today, oakland city council members are joining several community members for a conference to demand increased public safety in their east oakland neighborhoods after the fatal shooting of 66-year-old shot if her car while driving home last night. a vigil was held in the home of judy salamon. her old are sister spoke to the crowd. >> i loved her very much. and i am devastated by this stupid waste. a wait of a life. >> police are look at surveillance video hoping that will lead them to her killer. a community meeting will be held this weekend to talk about a republic am to hire a private security firm to patrol the area which is something friends say judy salamon favored.

>> in oakland police say they prepared for several protests scheduled by occupy oakland in the downtown area. agoers are calling it a proposal to block everything to protest the george zimmerman verdict and police say the officers will be on hand to make sure that the demonstrations stay peaceful to avoid a repeat of the violence seen in the days after the verdict. police say anyone caught committing a crime will be arrested. >> man is facing animal neglect charges after police responded to complaints about a stench coming from the apartment. the 49-year-old refused to answer the door so the police broke in and officers found to dog and a cat living in their filth. police faced other obstacles saying he was hoarding and he allowed the animals to go to the bathroom throughout the house. the animals are now in the care of the animal shelter in dublin and put up for adoption. >> from washington, dc, the lincoln memorial is closed right new after the discovery someone

choppy. the sea breeze has increased and we have an area of low pressure off the coast that will keep the sea breeze in our forecast and this is the dominant feature and the reason why we will have a cooling trend all the way through monday. the temperatures are below average for most of us today and through the weekend and it will bring us center clouds and the cool weather is nice and the monsoon moisture that could come up our way on sunday and monday. i do not have showers in the forecast. walnut creek is starting off with a lot of sunshine and the east bay inland neighborhood where we will be average and everyone else should be one to four degrees cooler than our average high for this time of the year and 82 if san jose and only the upper 70's in sunnyvale and milpitas and mid-80's around los gatos and gilroy. santa cruz is 72. we will flirt with 80 on the peninsula neighbors and 62 at half moon bay is a warmer spot along the coast and daility and
