things are not going well at all. union leaders were uncharacteristically unwailing to talk today, teams were at the table bart spokes people rolled out charts they say show how bart workers are the very rare public employees not paying into pensions. bart says this contract is a turning point. bart directors fang and mccar mccartlan told us talks are bizarre, fers nalts are getting in the way. still, bart official line is that they do want to settle. >> there is still plenty of time we want to make sure public foes that.

of sexual assaulting students who are just seven and eight years old. the 36-year-old convicted of five counts of looud -- lewd acts on a child. prosecutor says he molested the second grade classroom saying. >> children were made victims of the result of mr. chandler's hiding what he was doing. it's my hope awful these children forget everything about being in mr. chandler's class. >> chandler will be sentenced in september, facing 75 years to life in prison. the former principal was found guilty of failing to report the suspected sex abuse to authorities. >> abc 7 news learned the city will file suit against chevron tomorrow morning for damages related to the explosion and fire almost a year ago today.

abc 7 news story. abc 7 news learned that the lawsuit will be filed tomorrow morning. mayor declined to comment but we do know she plans to hold a news conference with the attorney stit hired from burlingame. one city council member says the fire broke up a marriage between richmond. >> when one starts a fire they're going to be in a rocky part of the marriage it happened almost a year ago. august 6th at 6:15 a pipe in a crude oil unit ruptured. the fire and smoke blanketed the skies and sent 15,000 rez don'ts hospitals.

thousands filed individual claims against the refinery. the city council first broched the idea in may of hiring lawyers to sue chevron, deciding to continue to try to reach a settlement out of court. two weeks ago, they voted hire the. >> chevron owes the people as well as the city of richmond hundreds of millions of dollars based on the damage they've done to our commute overtime. >> the lawsuit asked for damages for clean up and emergency response. as well as impact the fire had on property values and, on the environment.
