has been sentenced to three years probation admitting hitting the toy poodle with a brick last march saying he was tired of the dog coming on to his property. the poodle had to be euthanized. >> the u.s. supreme court ordered california to release thousands of state inmates because prisons are overcrowded. the governor has been fighting to stop it but has run out of options. plenty of people have serious concerns. >> despite pleas that the prison population can not be reduced with outleting out dangerous felons u.s. supreme court refused to stop it's release order to ease overcrowding. the ruling in a decades old case is a victory for inmates claiming the health care behind bars fails to meet constitutional standards causing needless suffer and death. >> overcrowding stands in the

tonight the state department issued a travel alert. u.s. citizens traveling abroad are being warned for phone shall for a terrorist attack. more on the warning and things you can do to minimize the risk. the barn warning says that u.s. citizens should take every precaution to be aware of surroundings and adopt appropriate safety measures to protect them selfs when traveling. ranna heard about the alert.

give you a perspective looking back towards san francisco. a cooling trend starts sunday running throughout the middle of the week. so as if is not cool enough compared to normal. steady flow continue was this cool pocket of air here, heat stay as way. and we haven't been seeing hot weather lately. this cool air mass will just linger over us. into middle of the week no sign of the summer heat. there tomorrow morning if you have early plans cloud cover near coast and will start out kind of cool. for afternoon you'll be able to shed layers.

bay bridge officials started putting new pieces of the span under the microscope, today crews started testing steel anchor rods.

good evening we'll begin with latest on the ongoing bart negotiations. both sides back at the bargaining table. talks resumed this afternoon but there is no deal on wages health benefits and pensions. bart general manager and union leaders are hopeful they'll be able to reach an agreement on points as talks continue throughout the weekend. workers may walk off the job if an agreement is not in place by sunday night. now, abc 7 news morning news will go on early monday at 4:00 a.m. strike or not to bring you latest developments. >> this sm thought impossible to go to work but figured out where to go to get the job done. >> the city wants to help those by making main libraries accessible. >> we have free wi-fi access
