>> abc7 news starts right now with breaking news. >> thanks for joining us. >> that breaking news is in oakland where a baby follows victim to violence. right now, police are outside the home of a double fatal shooting. kira klapper is on the scene. kira? >> kristen and eric, good morning. it is tough morning out here. people arrived in the last 30 minutes and they are family members. they remain weeping uncontrollably, understandably, pop arriving here and learning that their one-year-old boy and 20-year-old man were shot in the neighborhood. dozens are police are here still investigating, homicide detects actually just arrived in the last ten minutes at 98th

avenue. we can show you video. it happened two hours ago, 2:45 this morning. police say the shooter or shooters, they not sure how many, shot into the house from the backyard. again, they shot and killed a 20-year old man, a one-year-old baby boy was taken to children's hospital where he was pronounced dead, and police not saying much at this point because there is so much they don't know and they expect to be here a few more hours. we will bring you the updates as we get them. reporting in oakland for abc7 news. >> time for a check on the mid--week weather the mike? >> i have drizzle. not heavy amounts of rain out there. just drizzle. it is fine. but it is enough that there are slick spots, or wet spots on the road. we will talk to leyla gulen in a minute.

make the drive along westbound 80 you can see the tail lights and not too bad. >> it is 5:03, transit riders will not have to turn to plan "b" for getting to work, a strike that would have started today was averted by down to the wire contract talks. matt keller is at the terminal with details. matt? >> 180,000 people rely on a.c. transit each weekday to get around and this only they can count on their buses arriving. a deal was made just before midnight last night and that is when a strike could have started. union officials say the agreement gives 1,800 bus drivers and mechanics and dispatchers a 9.5 percent raise over three years and they will have to contribute to medical benefits. negotiations started back in march. a.c. transit workers were instrumental in helping the commuters during the bart strategic in july. union officials have advise for their ongoing negotiations. >> stay there. do not get tired.

shooting. kira? >>guest: it is a tragic scene this morning. family understandably distraught right here near us. i spoke with the grandmother of the victim. he and his one-year-old son were shot and killed inside their bedroom. she says part of her is gone this morning. they were going back home to fresno today and unfortunately that will never happen. the shooting happened at 2:35. people shot from the back of the house and they accessed behind the home and shot into the home. the 20-year-old man, andrew thomas, and his one-year-old baby, drew, are dead. police have no leads. they have no suspect information. they are canvassing the neighborhood at 98th avenue. they have many blocks, b
