tonight in riverside county where a wildfire continues to burn out of control. it began just after 2:00 this afternoon and it quickly grew to more than 6,000 acres. >> multiple buildings have been destroyed and fiche communities are under a -- five communities are under a mandatory evacuation order. three people have been injured including two firefighters. >> more than 500 crews are currently battling this fire. still no estimate on when containment is expected. but you can see it is devastating near banning. >> i'm dan ashley. >> i'm carolyn johnson. our other top story, a young boy just a year old shot and killed in his sleep. >> oakland's police chief is promising to put every resource he has to find who did this. >> alan wang is at oakland police headquarters. alan? >> carolyn, still no arrest tonight. the police chief promised to use every available resource. it is going to be a difficult task because the death of the one-year-old boy and his father adds to the load of violent cases that are piling

up on an under staffed police department. >> this is absolutely unacceptable that we have children being shot while they sleep in their bed. >> sean wentz says he is dedicating every resource available to catch those responsible for shooting up this home with the father and one-year-old son. >> he ales had his baby with him. >> she says her 20-year-old nephew andrew thomas and his son drew were sleeping in the home with several other young family members in this room. it was around a 2:30 when the shots rang out. >> pop, pop, pop, pop. like eight or nine times. >> andrew died instantly. the baby died at the hospital. the father and son arrived here last week to attend his sister's birthday party. >> and then that morning our other cousin just got shot and so we thought they were going to stay out here until after

his funeral is over. so it might -- it could be a connection or something. >> tonight police say they arrested kendal eatman for the murder of a relative. andrew's family members did not recognize eatman. >> it was weeks ago we had another child killed in a home. and this has got to stop. >> eight-year-old carridean was shot while sleeping at a friend's house in the diamond district. since 2011 five young children have been shot and killed in this city, two within a month's time. in oakland, alan alan wang, abc7 news. and developing news out of oakland as well where friends and family of a missing woman fear foul play may be involved in her disappearance. 50-year-old sandra coke disappeared on sunday evening after leaving her home to meet with someone who promised to give her information about her stolen dog. her family, friends and co-workers posted fliers in the neighborhood. some think her disappearance may be linked to the dog.

she was offering a $1,000 reward for the pet's return. friends think the lure of money may have lead to something sin sister. sinister. >> she has a lot of friends in the neighborhood. this is something very strange. it is something very strange. i know it. >> now there is also a theory that sandra's disappearance may have something to do with her recent internet dating. oakland police searched her home and looked at her computer for clues. police in vallejo are warning people about who they let in their homes. two men posing at pg&e workers committed a home invasion robbery this morning. ama dates is live with new details about the men investigators are looking for. ama? >> carolyn, we do have detailed descriptions of the two men. they are victims, a man, would m and child. they are okay, although the man was pistol whipped. >> i came out here and there was at least nine police cars and an ambulance and everything. >> monica mcdonald caught

the aftermath of the home invasion robbery at this house this morning. police tell us the two men responsible said they were with bg and -- pg&e and needed to check on a gas leak. one was even wearing a hard hat and vest. they looked legit, but when they were inside they duct taped a man and woman and a child was even home at the time. >> the mother held on to the six-year-old. >> eventually the man gave the robbers $1800 so they would leave and they did. the family was then able to call police. neighbors are now concerned for their own safety. >> well, i was really shocked. that is a pretty nice neighborhood. >> eva williams just moved in across the street on friday and says she will get a security door for her house, and she is thankful for all of the dogs on the block. mcdonald has a dog and is also trying to organize a neighborhood watch. >> we might be exchanging
