the girl told the dispatcher her parents were fighting and her father had a knife and was threatening to kill her mother. the dispatcher could hear violent yelling and sent several officers to the apartment. >> officers arrived on the scene and made entry into the apartment and they were met immediately by a male with a knife and the male subject threatened the officers forcing an officer to discharge. the subject was struck transported to a hospital and was pronounced deceased. >> there were two girls in the apartment and the mother. the ages are in the 10 to 12-year-old range and the police department is interviewing the family at police station. the man who was killed was 37 years old. officers are not releasing his

name at 9:30 last night in hayward. police are still at the apartment. they need to process the apartment and the evidence. they think they will be here for a few more hours. the officer would shot the man has been put on paid leave while the investigation is conducted. in hayward no abc7 news. >> three people are under arrest after a wrong-way chase that kept police on the move. the pursuit ended when the suspects crashed a stolen car at montana street in oakland last night. police tried to stop the vehicle and the driver took off and traveled wong way on interstate 580. police broke off the case because it was too dangerous. a helicopter spotted the car in san lenadro and the deputies resumed the chase much the driver crash add few minutes later. they found a semi-automatic handgun in the car.

the man will not serve jail time under the plea agreement. he will be sentenced to three years probation and a thousand hours of community service. he fatally hit 71-year-old pedestrian in the castro district last year. he was riding recklessly and ran three lights. a teen driver charged with hitting two bicyclives in june in pleasanton now faces a murder charge. a 58-year-old woman was hit and killed by the car and her husband survived. police initially arrested the 18-year-old on manslaughter but the prosecution upgraded the charge to murder after he boasts about speeding on twitter. >> the mayor of richmond will go to wells fargo headquarters to fight for the plan to help homeowners underwater on the mortgage. the mayor will try to convince the bank to drop their lawsuit. richmond officials and community
