breaking news from ohmland. a grisly discovery inside a home. two people found shot to death. good morning, i'm ama daetz. >> i'm eric thomas. police were called to the scene just after 4:30 this morning and homicide investigators are there right now looking for clues. we're live on fruitvale avenue with the latest. amy? reporter: behind me you can see the police car in front of the home, which is tucked back away from this street. and then if you look over here you can see where flowers have been left by a neighbor for their neighbors.

neighbors tell us they don't think this is a home invasion. they are not feeling nervous for their safety at this time. they suspect this was a mercy killing of a disabled woman and then the suicide of a terminally ill elderly man. police got the call at 4:30 this morning to come to the home where they found two people inside, who had been shot and killed. word is starting to spread throughout the neighborhood. one woman we talked to, i irene said the man who lived her was in his 80s and a friendly neighbor. >> we have lived here 25 years and his house is a bunch of those back to his house. so we have a corner of the property with them. always been over the fence kind of thing. for all these years.

yeah, he was a great guy. reporter: police tell us they found an adult man, they say he was the father, and an adult female, who was the daughter, and they both died. no further information is being released at this time another of the police department. the next door neighbor told us she feels like these two people, who had been struggling, are now in peace. live in oakland, abc7 news. eric eric in addition to those two people, 12 other people were shot in oakland over the weekend, four were killed. >> ama: there's a red flag warning in effect for the bay area. that means high fire danger. mick nico is here with more. >> let's geoff you an updid. lice live doppler 7hd. some elevated and light radar returns but it's the beginning of what could be a very unstable 72 hour period with thunderstorms and the threat of those creating wildfires.

homes in oroville south of chico. the fire burned 2,000-acres and is 45% contained there are 900 firefighters on the scene and they're among 5,000 firefighters battling ten different wildfires in california. a huge wildfire raging out of control in idaho has grown to more than hundred thousand acres. the beaver creek fire is threaten 50:00 homes and celebrity vacation spots in ketchum and sun valley. authorities say lightning ignited the fire 12 days ago. over the weekend cloud cover helped crews make progress. right now this fire is 9% contained. >> ama: today is the first day of school for many bay area kids and police are making sure they get there and back safely. we're live from monteloma elementary school.

a train and a car. it happened in a town south of fresno this morning. new video shows the mangled car next to the tracks. three men and two women were in the car. only one survived. the crossing doesn't have lights or arms about the train did sound its horn before crossing. it is not known if alcohol or drugs are to blame but officials have cleared the train operator. >> ama: five bay area suspects are facing kidnapping charges in southern california. they're accused of kidnapping an 18-year-old woman by gunpoint in compton. they took her to a motel. they say she was able to escape and alert a motel employee. the woman pointed out her alleged captors to deputies as they were trying to drive away. >> in less than two hours the

hyperpatrol will release the results of an investigation into the fatal limo fire on the san mateo bridge. five women died in the back of the vehicle in an exclusive report on friday, the highway patrol will not press charges against the limo driver. sources tell us that allegations by brown's wife that he was arguing with her on the phone and distracted when the fire broke out are not true. we'll stream the news conference live. >> eric: cleanup workers are cleaning up mounds of ash in a japanese city after a volcano erupted that sent a plume of smoke into the air. this was the volcano's 500th 500th eruption this year. the city was shrouded in an ash cloud, causing poor visibility. residents used masks and um will be las to protect themselves. >> ama: in egypt there's word former egyptian president hosni mubarak could soon be released from detention. he was ousted from power in 2011 and charged with corruption. now his attorney says he will be cleared within 48 hours and could still face a retrial over conspiracy to kell protesters during demonstrations. >> this comes as tensions continue to escalate falling the ouster of another president, mohammed morsi. hundreds have been killed, including 25 police officers who war were ambushed today.

to ten minutes, moving towards guerneville and possibly bodega bay. and if much is reaching the ground i would be surprised. here's a look at the bigger circulation. you can see -- watch the moisture coming right up the spine of the sierra and then hit this easterly wave and come straight across. when it does it tends to sink through the central valley, stabilize, and then hits the mountains on the eastern side of napa valley and that gives it the oomph it needs to create showers and thunderstorms. so we will keep an eye on the north bay for the best chance of storms. doesn't mean we won't have any elsewhere. they will be very random. look at the temperatures already. almost 90. livermore, antioch, 80 in concord. 85, los gatos. the clouds are keeping oakland, san francisco, half moon bay,

60s. this isn't your normal microclimate. but it's not the reason that we normally associate with it and that's the marine layer. it's pulled back, looking over sue sutro. we'll have high fire danger today, tomorrow, and through wednesday. let's talk about the temperatures. south bay, 87 in san jose. mid-to-upper 80s in santa clara valley. look at the humidity, going to get uncomfortable. low to mid-80s for the peninsula. temperatures in the mid-60s along the coast, to low to mid-70s downtown san francisco, and north bay, making a run into the mid-to-upper 80s. at the beaches, near 70. along the east bay shore, 75, richmond. oakland, 78. inland, temperatures in the low to mid-90s. couple of games today. the a's take on the mariners.
