we have a motorcycle down west 580 beyond 580 and a motorcycle has been destroyed, and you can see the slow line of traffic leading to oakland before the macarthur maze. in fremont, southbound 680 at miss, center divide in lane three and moderate from the central valley and highway four is moderate and a good day from san rafael to san francisco, and the toll plaza, no metering lights and traffic is friday lite. a raging wildfire near yosemite has destroyed 63,000 acres, twice the size of san francisco, the rim fire is only 1 percent contained in the national forest and burning out-of-control since saturday and the governor has

declared a state of emergency. campers and residents are ordered to leave areas near the fire. we have continuing coverage for the rim wildfire and the impact on yosemite. we will check with katie marzullo at 630 with an update and at 7:00, we will be on the fire lines for "good morning america" with coverage after the abc7 news. >> in the south bay women are warned to be extra cautious after an attack near santa clara university. matt chemicaller is in santa clara with what we navy the attacker. matt? >> police say the woman was walking near here at santa clara university and the man grabbed her from behind, pushed her in the bushes and attacked her after midnight yesterday morning a block away from the hut, a popular bar with santa clara university students. summer school classes are taking place but police will not confirm if the victim is

connected with university. her response is praised. >> she is very, very brief. she cared off the attacker. he would not expect that. very brave. >> here is the suspect, white man, light tap, 6', weighing 200 pounds, and light brain haze el eyes and dirty brown hair. the university sent out an e-mail and voice mail to all the students and letting them know about the attack. ahead of the five day closure several lanes of the toll plaza will be closed starting tonight to make way for more fast track access on the right side of the toll plaza closed so workers can add a new fast track only lane closing at 9:00 president tonight and re-open monday morning. we will have much more on this story in a report at 6:30.

101 before tully a two-car crash. in san rafael we had an early vehicle off the roadway that took out a power pole and pg&e is repairing it from novato to central san rafael. >> new this morning, all lanes of highway 101 in san mateo are open after a fail crash after 11:30 on northbound 101. authorities say one person was killed. a sig-alert was if place for two hours. no word on the identity of the person who was killed. the cause of the crash is under investigation. >> developing news the rim five near yosemite has quadrupled and today will be another challenging day for firefighters abc7 news reporter katie marzullo joins us from the newsroom. >> fire officials ordered campers to leave and utility

officials are considered other plans because there are concerns the fire could burn power and water lanes that feed san francisco. these are the official overnight numbers 63,000 acres have burned, 99 square miles and that number is almost definitely going to go up for the next official update which will be any moment. containment has been dropping from 5 percent at the peak to 1 percent this morning. since the fire broke out on saturday this have only been voluntary advisories to lead but know the chef said some residents must leave because there is an immediate net to life or property. >> we have everyone loaded and ready on trailers to go if we need to go. everyone is on high alert. >> bay area-run camps in yosemite were evacuated this week and we are lending that san jose family camp was spared when the fire passed by and others

three lanes so traffic could be backed up through the weekend and the lane closure starts at 9:00 tonight through the weekend, the three lanes to the right of the toll plaza to create a new fast track lane. the new bridge is close to opening and includes a treat for bicyclist: a bicycle path. it is also for pedestrians. it will be very crowded on opening day. >> we expect a huge amount of crowds. there are several bicycle groups that are interested in making the first ride over the bay bridge and we advise everyone there will be a lot of people on the bridge and we could limit the amount of people on it. >> here is what the bicycle path will look like, there is another year until it will be completely finished but from oakland to treasure island will be ready on opening day and we have a few bumps to get through before the new bridge opens including a

appointed a special committee to consider both internal and external candidates for the company as they move forward. we will watch for more headlines. sales of microsoft are trading higherren at news. things on wall street running supportly so far after a technical awe malfunction disrupted the nasdaq yesterday that led to a freeze on the trade for three hours, and that meant investors could not trade any of the more than 2,100 nasdaq listed stocks which include major companies as apple and facebook. the issue was anied and trading started half an hour before the closing bell. the chair of the securities and exchange commission plans to bring market officials to come up with ways to make sure issues like this do not happen again. now, a look at the stocks: they are trading higher ahead of the
