firefighters were pulling off the doors of the toyota to get to the passenger and they stopped and put a blue tarp offer the vehicle to wait for the coroner to arrive. driver was taken to the hospital where she died. officers say the silver mercedes was southbound on north 1st and slammed into the toyota turning left on to the drive before 3:30 this morning. people say this is a dangerous ten of road. they do a lot speeding and that is the tragic result of this week. officers say the driver of the silver mercede has not been found and they are checking with area hospitals to see if anyone has injuries consistent with a car accident. the more said has not been reported stolen and two women were killed in the crash. the stretch of road is closed down and police are going to be on the scene for several hours.

place tomorrow and traffic will be roll on the new span tomorrow with leyla gulen begin the coverage. >> good morning, everyone, the very happy labor day to you and if you needed to making it to work or to get around the bay area we still have the bay bridge closure in affect but the san mateo bridge is still in separation as is the richmond-san rafael and everything at top speeds. we have a holiday lite situation for the most part. we have a couple of incidents going on around the bay area. highway nine at skyline we have an accident solo vehicle crash facing the wrong direction and c.h.p. is still out there trying to get that cleared. we also had an early accident westbound highway 24 of with you get to the tunnel and we do have emergency road repair to take place in the next five minutes so you might see one lane closed but two boards remain open. the drizzle is in our forecast and mike is here to tell us

we are standing by because israel -- caltrain will give us the word so we make sure the first cars across do not go too fast the when you have an open roadway the tendency is to hit the gas harder because you do not necessarily have the perspective of another car to tell you how fast you are going. they will pause today to celebration and hold a ceremony at 3:00 this afternoon full of dignitaries to mark the historical moment. a spokesman relies he will have a captive audience and that is a good time to announce if there is an opening all being discussed. our next briefing is scheduled for 8:00 this morning coming up soon so stay with abc7 news we are covering this like a blanket and we are keeping our ears open
