crews will be on the scene for several days to monitor brushfire that burned 40 acres near sonoma off highway 121. it spread to a factory and several structures were destroyed along with factory equipment and power lines. >> we evacuated. when a fire line went down we had to pull the firefighters back. no injuries were reported. crews were able to get the fire under control but will continue to watch for flare-ups. the big story is the fire that is burning at mt. diablo state park and it grew overnight from how to a thousand acres. this means more residents are evacuating the wildfire that is raging near clayton in unincorporated contra costa county. team coverage continues with

abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield. amy? kristen, we have a visual update. look at the images. this fire is huge. usually you will see fires calm down overnight but this is still very active and raging this morning. it was a busy night for firefighters and still going strong. they still up there on the republican trying to make progress. this started at 1:30 yesterday afternoon along the east side of mt. diablo. it forced people to evacuate from their homes in clayton. crews worked hard in the hot afternoon and were hoping the cool of night would help them make progress. >> temperatures usually go down and the humidities rise and we get a better chance to do direct

and indirect attack. instead, there were reports this fire has grown from 800 acres to a thousand acres. they have 10 percent of it contained. one firefighters suffered a minor injury and they lost a willing, a remote outbuilding destroyed by the fire but so far they have kept it from homes. another update on the fire, it has burned into mt. diablo state park. that is the latest. i'm in touch with sell public information officers and cell phone service is our tricky issue but i will try and get in touch with them for an update next half hour. >> evacuees are sent to the clayton community library and the red cross is there to help.

those with horses can go to the heather farms park in walnut creek but the contra costa county horseman association in concord so if you need to store your horses you can go. the rehab ranch sent out a three for help evacuate dozens of horses and goats. 30 people showed up from antioch, brentwood and several other communities with trailers to help move the animals to safety. matt will have more in a report at the top of the hour. >> a check on the commute with leyla gulen. >> there are road closures and residents must show an i.d. in the area. you are going to have to show i.d. to make it into the areas. we have one-way traffic control because of the fire we told you about a little while ago 40

a fatal accident. a man who died after falling from a foot bridge was said to be drunk. it is used to pay over jamestown avenue on the south side of the stadium. the man died at the scene at 1:30 around the time the 49ers game kicked off the believes and off duty paramedics saw what happened. they raced to help the man but could not revive him. >> indianapolis we fans of a game escaped serious injuries after a railway clapped after the game ended and they fell on the walk s way near the tunnel leading to the radars walker room. one left on a stretcher and another in a wheelchair. the raiders love the game. >> san francisco city worker accused of running over and killing a woman in a city park will be arraigned today. authorities say the man ran over a 35-year-old laying with her baby and dog in the park.
