and metering lights are flashing but nothing beyond that. we will keep our eye on there and see if anything else develops. >> this morning, california is close to getting a new minimum wage in a late night session lawmakers approved a wage hike for millions. abc7 news reporter katie marzullo is in burlingame to tell us what this means for employees and business owners. >> kristen, workers are happy and employers probably nervous but nothing is happening yet. the governor still has to sign this into law. he says he will. assuming that happens, you are look at a couple of years before this takes affect. the minimum wage in california now is $8 and next july it would go up to $9 and in 2016 it would become $10 an hour. law harris counties and workers

and one person is trapped. again, it is causing quite the backup as you come from the maze and it is causing bumper-to-bumper traffic away from university avenue through berkeley in the westbound direction. very slow traffic. headed back into fremont the crash is possibly in the clearing staying with the track loosening in the westbound direction at mission boulevard and warm spring roads involving five or six vehicles. the toll plaza shows track coming in more than it was with crews back trying to clear up the accident so some of the cars are allowed through. >> this morning, we know what caused the threatening mt. diablo in contra costa county. authorities are saying it was started by a target shooter. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is in clayton.
