onfirst church of god and christ. an institution in this neighborhood 90 years. i spoke to the pastor's wife, and she says the church looks to be a total loss. and says it contained a lot of historical records likely destroyed. it's part of a network of churches providing services to the community. one witness says he believes the fire started inside of the church. >> it caught kaugt on the pole travelled up the pole, hit the trance former rmt f. you saw trance former explode, calling -- falling to the ground and wires fell. and and then we lost the power in the neighborhood. >> officials confirm it did start in the church. the church official tells us they have had issues earlier

here. edd is making progress with unemployment checks. staff brought in and it began three weeks ago we tomd you before during labor day weekend. officials say it caused a backlog and thousands have been waiting for their insurance check autos over the weekend we did have 450 people working on saturday. 300 people on sunday. we made progress making $21.7 million in payments over the last three days. >> the edd was able to clear 43,000 from that backlog.
