bridge toll plaza the metering lights have been turned on and it is looking busy from emeryville to san francisco. >> it is 6:02. from east palo alto police want to find the people who opened fire on a car a few hours ago, two people want to the hospital with downtown shot wounds to their aways after being shot just before 1:30 this morning it happened on university avenue near michigan avenue. police believe two or three people in a white newer model camera followed the victims before the shooting and the camry drove away after the shooting. in oakland, police are investigating a crash involving two vehicles that killed one person and injured another. it happened near bancroft and 68th. one of the cars rolled over. police are still sorting out details but one of the vehicles may have driven away from 82nd avenue where there were reports of gunfire earlier. >> new this morning, a bay area city could be on the road, if you will, to be required

electric car chargeers in all new homes that are constructed. abc7 news reporter matt keller joins us with details. matt, you are in palo alto? >> yes, palo alto city leaders want to be nones at the most friendly electric vehicle cities in the country. last night they took steps to accomplish that. check out the video shot in the past hour. electric vehicles charging here at city hall early this morning which is no surprise because palo alto has one of highest concentrations of electric vehicle owners in the country and it is home to the headquarters of electric vehicle maker tesla. city lowers moving forward with requirements for new home and the san jose mercury news reports that the city council unanimously approved moving forward with building code changes requiring all new housing install the next circumstance its to electric vehicle charges and saying the cost to install is cheaper on new construction. council members are reviewing the fees for charging equipment

obama is expected to address the united nations john assembly and noon the international issues he is expected to address today are the crisis in syria and iran's disputed nuclear weapons program. abc7 news reporter katie marzullo joins us with a preview. >> today could be more than a speech. there is speculation that president obama could meet with the president of iran. no american president has met one-on-one with an iranian head of state since 1977. iran's president is also giving a speech at the united nations today. past speeches by former president mahmoud ahmadinejad were boycotted by the united states and others. no meeting between president obama and the iranian president is scheduled, officials say president obama is open to engagement if iran will address concerns about the program. the british foreign secretary met with his iranian counterpart yesterday and they talked about that. >> the united kingdom welcomes the president and foreign minister's statements about

degrees cooler at 9 coast and we go from 70 at berkeley and oakland is 71 and castro valley and fremont at 74 and mid-to-upper 70's in the east bay valley and pleasanton at 7 a and walnut creek at 78. tonight we will be cooler. the cold front will bring us dry and cooler air and with the breezes tilt kicking up tonight the shelter valleys in the north bay drop in the 40's and the rest of us hang out in the 50's. here is the cold front and it is getting deeper by the moment kicking up high clouds. that all it will bring us today and that is mostly this morning. in the afternoon hours, sunshine, and a secondary push of cooler weather and breezes tomorrow and a little bit more moisture with the system and you can see in the sierras there is a winter mix. if we see sprinkles, they are mostly high elevation of the north bay and a better chance in machine dough send and lake county. we will keep an eye on it.

two vehicles following a shooting the one vehicle overturned last night. the crash killed one person. it injured another. one of the cars took off early from 82nd avenue and there were reports of gun four. also in oakland, police are investigating a homicide after a body was found on the street near 89th avenue and mcarthur. the victim was shot. no word from investigators if there is any connection to the previous vehicle accident. >> in san francisco, police are investigating a fatal shooting in the ocean view district at 10:00 last night at randolph. the man was shot along a muni metro route and the service was rerouted beyond the crime scene. investigators have not made any arrests. >> police are expecting to update us on the beating that left a man in a coma. it happened over the weekend in front of his own home. our reporter joins us from pleasanton police headquarters with the details.

>> they say they have good leads and a good case and they are close to making an arrest, and we will update you later this morning. 51-year-old david lamont was found unconscious lying in front of his pleasanton home. he had been beaten. police say he went outside to confront noisy teens. lamont is married. he is the father of two. >> i cannot describe it. it is devastating. we have a very good man. he did nothing to deserve anything bad happening to him. lamont is in a coma. he is suffering from major head injuries. police say they are following up on leads including the search for a brown s.u.v. leave the area. they do suspect that teens are to blame for the beating and will announce their progress later this morning. >> thank you. a two-year old girl is in the

hospital this morning with serious injuries after being hit by a car while playing outside with friends. it happened at 6:00 p.m. last night near north parkside drive in pittsburg. the girl chase add ball into the street. the driver of a passing s.u.v. did not see the girl and hit her. the driver stopped is cooperating with police. >> also in the east bay another vigil is held tonight for the boy who was hit and killed by a car as he was riding his bicycle to school. hundreds turned out last night for the vigil for the 12-year-old burgess hu and his former elementary school in discovery bay. he was riding against traffic in byron when hit. officials where he was a student immediately notified physical -- fellow students and brought in counselors. >> extremely sad. the wrong boy was very popular and well-known. >> they were all good friends.

talk to mike nicco to see how it is shaping up outside. >> thank you very much. we will start with the wins, it will be aggressive headed to the afternoon hours especially across the bay and different. we have had southwest wind and west wind during the mc's cup and new we we have northwest wind at 15 to 25 knot and wins are faster and has been out longer along the coast 20 to 30 knots this evening at 7:00 through tomorrow evening at 9:00. wins fairly manageable fastest at sfo at 10 miles per hour and fairfield at 21 so we have a good sea breeze developing ahead of the cold frond and when it comes through look what the wins do, as we jump to 10:00, we are around 10 to 15 miles per hour at the bay but 20 to 30 along the coast and we will see an increase by 2:00, and the winds will be a factor but the fastest wins come in around 5:00 to 7:00 up to 40 miles per hour along the coast and 20 to 30 gusts
