power pole. no one on the bus was hurt. officers arrested the driver of the car. the crash knocked out power to some pg&e customers in the area. the beating that left an east bay man in a coma is down to two local high schools. they were found lying in the street over the weekend. tonight police are talking with self-teenagers. alan wang is live tonight where the victim is being treated. alan? >> yes, dan, david lamon is here in a medically enduced coma and his brother flew in from england. he is still in critical condition and they are still asking the public for help in making an arrest. tonight police say students have been questioned about the beating of a local man that has left him in a coma. >> i will say that the persons of interest do attend both of our local high schools. >> police have been questioning students at foothill and amadore valley high schools after 51-year-old

david lamont was beaten by a group of juveniles outside of his home. it happened early on saturday morning. lamont confronted the group believed to be both male and female because they were making too much noise. >> i can't always say i know where my children r. it is just one of those things. they move around in a different world from the one i grew up in. >> students tell us impromptu gatherings can pop up anywhere because of text messaging or twitter. >> there is a reason that we all talk about it and obsess about it and worry about it for the entire four years they are in high school and most of the time they are in college. >> a neighbor says he saw a gold or ma -- metallic brown suv leave the scene. they made no arrests and the father of two teenage daughters is still in a coma. alan wang, abc7 news. >> an attack inside a san leandro safe way -- safe way was captured on the store camera.

you can see on the video the man has a brief exchange with the store manager and then suddenly throws a punch right there. the man ran out of the market without taking anything. the store manager fell and he was seriously injured. he has been identified as a 51-year-old man. >> the family and friends gathered in honor of a livermore woman who is on life support after being hit by a suspected it drunk driver. christina is a nursing student at chico state. her parents say she is brain dead and being kept alive so they can donate her organs. she was riding her bike back from the school's library when she was hit by a car. a 19-year-old man faces charges in this case. police say he was drunk and sped away from the scene of the accident. >> a fire in the east bay rips through one home and damaged two others. it started before 2:30 this afternoon at a house on piedmont. they spread the fire to a pair of neighboring homes. the fires were quickly put out.

it shows them tackling the flames from the roof. they joined piedmont fire in response. piedmont's chief says this was the first fire in the area since the devastating oakland hills firestorm of 1991. and they will be keeping an eye on the weather. spencer christian is here with more on some potentially dangerous fire conditions. >> yes, there is a look at live doppler 7hd which shows clear skies across the bay area. we have strong, gusty winds expecting to get gustier. the fire weather watch is in affect tomorrow night through friday for the bay area hills. that include had the north bay mountains and the east bay hills. the winds are out of the north and gusts as high as 45 to 55 miles per hour in the highest peaks. the humidity will be below 30%. we have gusts across the bay area that are relatively strong, 22 miles an hour in half moon bay and 26 miles an hour in mountain view and they have been gustier in the early evening, but may incrows a bit. once again the fire watch is

through friday because of these strong, gusty winds. here is a look at the satellite-radar come -- composite. it went through the bay area and behind it cool air and breezy conditions. it will continue for the next day and a half before giving way to warmer weather. as we follow the developments tomorrow into thursday, we will see a center of high pressure developing and positioning itself to our north. that will give us a different wind flow so we will have a warmer, dryer airflow starting on thursday. that will be the beginning of a five or six-gay warm up. meanwhile, the wind gusts over night will continue to be strong as we follow the time to tomorrow morning by 11:00 and midday hours we will see gusts again at or above 25 miles per hour. we have more windy weather coming our way. overnight tonight it will be breezy and clear and cool with low temperatures generally in the mid50s. a little cooler in the north bay valleys. tomorrow a pleasant day, but cooler than average. highs in the upper 60s to the low 70s. 69 at san jose.
