just be aware that the fire crews headed out there. the bay bridge toll plaza shows the metering lights are on and traffic is stacked up away from the maze so bumper to bumper to the tolls and the bridge. from emeryville camera you can see it is a sea of tail lights pushing along in the westbound direction toward treasure island. slow-and-go traffic headed for san francisco and it will take you 15 minutes to head from the maze to san francisco. >> happening today, team u.s.a. oracle hopes to continue a comeback after being on the verge of elimination they put together a string of wins to set up the "winner take all" match. >> it has been quite a comeback. but it is nut complete. the defending champion will fight for the cup against new zealand. the team u.s.a. oracle shocked the world when it won two more

dap flipping pancakes. this morning, the vote is a first vote a test vote, with a final vote hate open sunday. >> new details on a natal shooting at a light rail shoot in san francisco. the crime appears to be random and unprovoked. investigators say this surveillance video shows the suspect before the shooting. he is described as asian, 20 to 30, with stocky build wearing a black baseball cap and a white hooded jacket. the victim was shot and killed just with 10:00 p.m. on monday as he exited a muni train at randolph and private street. the suspect ran away. >> in 9 east bay, police senatorring if three men who stole a woman's purse and it happened in the packing hot of a

store before 1:00 o'clock people yesterday afternoon. the woman's purse was on the trunk next to her and a car drove up behind her and a man get out and snatched distance. the car is described as tan 1994 ford with yellow paper dealership politicals. >> belmont police are looking for a burglar who is targeting family vehicles during little league baseball games. it happened the last three sundays at the belmont sports complex. a photo was released of the suspect taken from a business where a victim's credit card was used. they say the person used the card to buy power tools. >> students and parents are joining forces to tackle big problems: bullying. last night groups were brought together including a

see already slowing there as you come away from highway 4, and as you head to the hoffman split you are still slow-and-go traffic and it picks up through berkeley. we are a little more than two weeks away from a second possible bart strike and this morning we are learning new details of the contingency plan the agency has in place in case employees hit the picket line. abc7 news reporter matt keller is at fremont park. >> passengers told me this morning they do not want do see another strike or have to think about a plan "b" to get to work. we are two weeks away from that possibility. our media partner reports the transportation officials released a strike plan that is bigger than the response that took place during the july strike and will cost up to $21 million. bart would use triple the number of buses and car pool lanes along the bart corridor would be in force all day. new temporary diamond lanes on

staff with ntsb quickly raised concerns with the department of transportation. under law, the asiana airline was required to provide service to family members of the 291 passengers including promptly posting a toll free number to gather and distribute information and providing transportation and lodging. >> driver is under arrest this morning after a high speed police chase in oakland that ended in a wild crash. the car slammed into a fire hydrant at foothill boulevard and 20th avenue and flipped over. the impact snapped the pole in after and knocked electrical wires on to a transit bus. no one on the bus was hurt and the crash beforely knocked out power to pg&e customers but the power is fully restored. >> police have identified several teens as "persons of interest" in the brutal beating of a 51 your old man.

the store manager to the floor. the suspect ran out of the market. the store manager was seriously injured in the fall. >> family and friends are trying to make sense an accident that left a bicyclist on life support. the 21-year-old christina is a nursing student at kick coe state and her par weres say she is brain dead and will be kept alive until they can donate her organs. she was riding the bicycle back from 9 school library on sunday and a car hit her. police say the 19-year-old driver was drunk and sped away from the scene. officers tracked him double and arrested him on d.u.i. charges. he will be charged with vehicular manslaughter. >> investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that rip through a home and damaged two others in the east bay. it started yesterday afternoon at a house in piedmont. the wind spread the flames to a pair of neighboring homes, and the firefighters tackled the

getting boater you could be in the minority. jane king joins us from the new york stock exchange. >> good morning. the economy is supposedly improving and we do see some data do support that but only 27 percent of americans say any expect the economy to improve over next year. the big drop from the 39 percent who felt positive about the economy in june. this is another cautious stock days with four down days in a row for the dow and we are looking at a lower start with concern of the budget ceiling, the u.s. government is expected to hit and that hocks like it is weighing on sentiment. the silicon valley index is trading down a quarter of a percent. investors are watching the financials and possible liability or responsibility for their part in causing the financial crisis. sources say j.p. morgan chase has re-entered some of the talks after attorneys general in sacramento, new york, and philadelphia, indicated they were about to sue the bank for misrepresenting the quality of
