reporter: this afternoon we learned from the police chief actually, that woman has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, not involving drugs or alcohol, with gross negligence generals, and a group of kevin son's friend came to the corner where he was killed in the crash. the group posted messages, left flowers, and lit candles. kevin san was a student at abraham lincoln high school, and a member of the junior rotc drum corps. his friends say the group cancelled practice yesterday because of kevin's death. so his friends decided to come here to honor him. >> he always had a smile on his face. on a gloomy day, he would just maybe give a laugh. reporter: kevin was killed when police say a speeding mercedes suv slammed into the minivan he was in. his mother and sister were seriously injured, as were three other people in a different

vehicle. the driver of the speeding suv suffered minor injuries and police tell us she was taken to the hospital friday morning, and then medically released. she was spooked into the san francisco county jail friday. we are -- no. we understand she is facing several citations for vehicle code violations. reporting live, sergio quintana, abc7 news. >> the family of man stabbed to death near at&t park wednesday want the public's help to figure out what happened. dodger jonathan denver was killed after getting in an argument with a giants fan. cornell is live at the park. reporter: giants ended their season with a vic over the padres. fans are saying goodbye to the players. but before the game the family was searching the crowd for information in the death of their son. >> family and friends of

24-year-old jonathan denver were outside at&t park, passing out fliers to giant fans, hoping someone has information. but the strongest plea came from his father. >> today i'm making a plea to the public. asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward, so that both families can have some measure of closure. >> robert preece believes someone may have videotaped the fatal stabbing of his son, an l.a. dodgers fan. he got in a night with giant fans after a game on wednesday. michael montgomery was arrested by police but released due to lack of evidence. the family calls that a failure of the justice system. >> the alleged perpetrator was released from jail less than 48 hours after my son was fatally stabbed. yet jonathan is gone forever.

>> it reminded many of brian stowe who made an appearance at sunday's giants game. he is recovering from a brute brutal beating outside dodger stadium. stowe's family sends a message to the family of jonathan hunt. >> i know i have lost my son too soon. >> the city and the giants plan to work together on preventing violence. live at at&t park, abc7 news. >> one man is dead and another is in the hospital tonight following a shooting in antioch theft violence both out just after 10:00. police arrived to find two males, one 24, the other 20, both shot. the 24-year-old died the hospital. police say the shooting may have been gang-related. no arrests have been made. palo alto police need help to catch two robbers who hurt a woman in broad daylight.

the thieves targeted their woman around 3:45 yesterday afternoon. she told police man grabbed her hair from behind and pulled her to theground, and then a woman who was with the attacker took the victim's purse. she was treated for minor injuries. el cerrito police released surveillance video of two home robbery suspects. notice the camera and then the other breaks open the door. one suspect takes a tool to the camera, breaking it. there's video of the two suspects walking up to the house. police hope someone will reckons the burglars and help police track them down. >> oakland firefighters made quick work of a fire that may have been started by a squatter. firefighters arrived to the house burning on 79th avenue. it was abandoned, except for a squatter. fire officials say utilities had been cut to the house long ago. the flames briefly threatened homes next door but firefighters but it out before it could spread. >> it was another beautiful day
