afternoon. the fire started just before 1:00 this afternoon. crews stop that had fire not until it burned about 130 acres of dry brush on western slope of sonoma mountains. drivers faced delays as crews battled flames. >> and wind is fueling many of those fires. a viewer sent thus video. >> just howling in many areas. let's get to abc 7 news sandhya patel on what's happening with winds. >> yes. you can hear windows rattling and tree in the wind. and you can see clear skies. check out winds now. gusting to 29 miles per hour. and this area is coming out of the north which is what is dragging some of that smoke into the bay area from that

just flap away. this fire burned 150 acres and firefighters hope to have this fire contained tonight that broke out last night sending smoke around the bay area. >> police are announcing a break in a 2-year-old murder case. a man was shot after his car was slightly bump bid another vehicle. the 23-year-old man jaimed charles butler junior was killed returning home from the store. leanne? >> it's been nearly two years since butler was shot and killed. tuesday police arrested the 21-year-old who was the driver arks cording to police of the car. police are still looking for

the man they say shot butler. he's six feet 260 pounds. investigators say butler got into an argument with two men over a minor fender bender. butler left but the men followed him and shot his car, killing him this, happened in west oakland near his home. butler was a23 years old and had graduated from a merchant marine training program. police say there were a number of witness who's never came forward until butler's father who is sick made a public plea saying he didn't want to die without knowing who killed his sob. -- son. someone decided to talk. >> the plea of the father people saw that piece and a lot of people called some just to express their, how sorry

in the chest drove for a half mile before he pulled over and died. his kids were in the car. they're okay. the trooper hit in the side and he's all right. the shooting ruled justified this, happened outside portland in august. >> incredible. >> the family of a connecticut woman shot to death in washington, d.c. has now identified her body. police shot and killed mariam carey yesterday after she tried to drive through barricades. authorities say carey was delusional believing the president was communicating with her. family members confirmed her mental state had been deteriorating for a year. her mother tells abc news she believes carey was struggling with postpartum depression. and yesterday's shooting took place not far from massacre of the washington navy yard september 16th. the gunman shot and killed 12 people, wounding three others
