good afternoon, everybody, developing news, officials at san francisco general hospital confirmed what abc 7 news first reported yechd a body nound a hospital stairwell is that of a patient missing for more than two weeks. >> 57-year-old lynn spaulding admitted for an infection september 19th but disappeared two days later. an engineer conducting an inspection found spaulding's body yesterday. so how could a patient go missing inside of a hospital 17 days? a spokesman for spaulding's family say they want answer autos we want to know what protocols for search are, were those followed? when was the

first search? are there cameras covering entrances and exits? are those cameras working? were they working the day of the disappearance? if they are not now in place or working how long is it going to take to get down to radio shack and get cameras? this is ridiculous. >> officials and police are investigating but at this point they admit they don't know what happened. >> more legal troubles for alden smith, shots were fired and another man stabbed in a party in june, 2012. the district attorney says it's investigation found three fire warms were illegal assault weapons under california law. he's undergoing treatment following a dui arrest. niner's coach did make a brief comment today. >> we're accountable for

agriculture department is threatening to shut down three central valley poultry processing plants linked to an outbreak that sickened nearly 300 people. usda has given foster farms until tomorrow to dell the -- tell the department how it will fix the problem, so far the company has not recalled products. usda says the conditions in the plants could pose a serious ongoing threat to public health. the cdc says the outbreak is serious enough that it's called in experts furloughed in the shut down to respond. some of the strains are resistant to antibiotics. most of the people sickened are here in california. more than 40% of those who took ill had to go to the hospital. abc news medical editor says cooking the meat to 165 degrees will kill germs and we all need to get into that habit. >> over half of all chickens are contaminated with either salmonela or another dangerous germ.

ahead of the company ipo, twitter announcing a new partnership with comcast, providing links on the twitter pages of various shows letting users record or watch programs on comcast cable service that starts next month. and stocks closing mostly up today with dow and s and p rebounding. your bloomberg silicon valley closing up. samsung unveiled world's first curved smart phone today. the galaxy round features a 5.7 inch curved display. samsung says it's designed to make the screen viewable from different angles and to make the phone more comfortable to hold. it goes on sale today just over a thousand u.s. dollars. as of now, samsung has not announced plans to sell it in other countries so we'll have to wait.

test scores were altered. >> deputy chief was one of the so called raiders, brought in to grade the exam. he testified his ratings on the written tests were changed. the plaintiffs attorney says it may not have been done intentionally, but those kinds of alterations cost clients promotions. >> we realized there were so many errors and so many changes to scores and so many people did not receive scores for what they'd done tharkts examination is invalid. >> it will be looked at average performance, then, below average performance. >> he's accused of making changes and getting rid of answer sheets. deputy city attorney is defending him, and the process. >> why was he altering scores? >> he corrected scores. did he not alter scores.

california high school relocated dozens of students to new classrooms while they investigate potential health risks on campus. parents at malibu high demanded classes moved after three teacher who's worked in the same building were diagnosed with thyroid cancer, reports say other eachers -- teachers experienced thoi roid -- thyroid problems three years after the district moved dirt that tested positive for lead and pesticides. >> i'm glad they're going to relocate the kids out of that building that has the most impact with mold or whatever is in there that. is g i didn't get an answer about how quickly they're going come back with test result autos officials now saying mold tests will be completed by friday and they plan to conduct a volume teary health survey. a warning for pregnant
