>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. no bart strike on this friday and we started early to to bring you the latest on the negotiations. thanks for joining us. >>the bart trains are rolling normally. negotiators worked into the night and postponed the strike and agreed to keep talking through the weekend. matt keller has more from oakland. a new face is joining the talks? >> we have that good news. no strike today. bart trains will run. on monday, you may have to find a different way to work. bart and the unions came to an agreement through the weekend averting a strike today with the cooling-off period helping at midnight. now a new deadline midnight sunday. if there is no deem bart unions

will strike. >> we have been negotiating and the district has been able to make this deal as of june 30. this is the longest negotiation period i have ever been involved in, in 22 years. we are trying to get the deal done. >> bart negotiators were prepared to offer a new proposal to the unions but the unions said not yet, the elected bart board members are involved and engaged in negotiation and expect the general manager to sit at the bargaining table today with the session to begin here in oakland at 10:00 a.m. >> and now, leyla gulen has the commute. everything is moving along fine

and i looked at our cameras and everything is clear. as you can see behind me we have plenty of green and it will be the columbus day weekend ahead of us and that will take you into san francisco where the city's oldest celebration, the italian heritage parade will kickoff around washington square from broadway and columbus to north beach. this will be street closing. the drive time traffic across the golden gate bridge we are at eight minutes. on the bay bridge it is nine minutes. along the san mateo bridge is eight minutes from hayward to foster city. 101 away from 880 there are a few headlights making it in the number direction. lisa has at look at the cool forecast. >> shorter days, low sun and
