>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. no bart strike on this friday and we started early to to bring you the latest on the negotiations. thanks for joining us. >>the bart trains are rolling normally. negotiators worked into the night and postponed the strike and agreed to keep talking through the weekend. matt keller has more from oakland. a new face is joining the talks? >> we have that good news. no strike today. bart trains will run. on monday, you may have to find a different way to work. bart and the unions came to an agreement through the weekend averting a strike today with the cooling-off period helping at midnight. now a new deadline midnight sunday. if there is no deem bart unions

will strike. >> we have been negotiating and the district has been able to make this deal as of june 30. this is the longest negotiation period i have ever been involved in, in 22 years. we are trying to get the deal done. >> bart negotiators were prepared to offer a new proposal to the unions but the unions said not yet, the elected bart board members are involved and engaged in negotiation and expect the general manager to sit at the bargaining table today with the session to begin here in oakland at 10:00 a.m. >> and now, leyla gulen has the commute. everything is moving along fine

occupy investigation including a review of hospital alarms. her body was not found until 17 days after she was reported missing from her hospital bed. >> two people suffered injuries when their car slammed into a restaurant at joe's cafe in san rafael. look at that. the driver and the passenger were taken to the hospital. the cause is under investigation. no one was hurt in the cafe. >> president obama will meet with republican senate senators. yesterday he met with house of representatives republicans and the white house said no specific determination was made. g.o.p. will present their own options toen the crisis.

the shutdown is now in the 11th day. president obama has signed a bill to consider financial benefits to families of fallen troops. a charity will be reimbursed for making the $100,000 payment during the lapse in funding. >> national parks remain closed in california unlike other states that spend their money to re-open parks after a move by the obama administration to alow individual states re-opening selected national parks if they will pay for it. california park officials do not have the money. budget cuts push many parks to the brink of closing. >> this morning, fans are disappointed again after they dropped the winner-take-all game five at the coliseum. in the 4th inning, that hurt. cabrera hit a two run home are putting the tigers head 2-30 and

verlander dominated the a's carrying a no-hit bid into the 7th inning. verlander struck out ten in eight scoreless innings and pitched 30 consecutive shutouts against oakland and a post-season record. the tigers beat the a's 3-0 advancing to the american championship series against the red fox. >> verify lap -- verlander, when he is on" is unfair. >> what is fair we don't have a bart strike. we have clear conditions but we have report of a brushfire with flames scene and now we have pore clarification from c.h.p. where they say on southbound 680 that is where you will find it so a few bushes are on fire and the so far, so good. everything is on time.

through tuesday and highs climb through the 70's and we will get back into the 80's. we have been dominated by the low pressure bringing cooler air over the bay area with the snow in the northern and southern sierra but as it lifts out we will have more sunshine and the fog revealing sunshine in santa cruz and 62 and 72 in san jose. on the peninsula you have the sea breeze and 73 in los altos and 58 in pacifica and the richmond district and daly city, upper 50's and near 60 in san francisco and 72 in novato and from 68 in san leandro. antioch will be 71. steady tomorrow and warming sunday, monday, tuesday and dry through the week. >> some members of the san jose
