afternoon. fleeshman wearing a skirt the victims' parents say the 18-year-old doesn't identify as male or feel yale. the district attorney released a statement quote, richard thomas violence and senseless conduct resulted in severe trauk injuries to a young, innocent victim. in the criminal complaint the officer said, quote, during the suspect interview the suspect stated he did it because he was homophobic. fleeshman under goes fleement a burn center thomas will be back in court to enter a plea next week. >> sources tell abc7 news authorities are investigating the rape of a student at de-anza college in cupertino as a possible hate crime as wemwell. >> the victim may have been targeted because of her gender orientation. vic lee is live at the college with more. >> reporter: the sheriff department is investigating this

today in san francisco a hearing called by legislatures >> they want to know what is being done to prevent another accident like one that killed two men in october and why something wasn't done to prevent it. >> we're live at the state building in san francisco. heather? >> this hearing was scheduled for before the double fatal accident, postponed twice for difficult bart labor negotiations when it did happen today, legislatures wanted a lot more details about the fatal accident but they, like rest of us, will have to wait for the ntsb investigation to wrap up in
