wednesday in this courtyard between 6th and 7th period. >> at one point just about every member that was a party to the fight ends up on the ground there is lots of hair pulling hitting and slapping. >> school officials say the transgender student initiated the physical contact but only after she was verbally assaulted. >> after being under stressful situations day after day, being teased teased, at some point you're going to explode. >> reporter: the transgender student complained being bullied two days ago ask a warning was given toerj students. >> they were told knock it off. and then, something transpired yesterday afternoon. >> reporter: those who counsel students hope to turn it into something positive. >> they're teenagers. that is where we come into play to talk a little bit about tolerance ask

support. and supporting each other. >> reporter: all four students face possible disciplinary action for fighting on campus. in hercules, abc7 news. in the meantime supporters of sasha fleeshman, badly burned on a ac transit bus who when another teenager set fire to a skirt sashy was wearing tonight will start at oakland high school tonight walking about a mile to where the attack happened. abc7 news is across from the high school with the story. carolyn? >> reporter: they're calling this walk the rainbow road. it's a show of support for the 18-year-old. family and friends going to gather there and walk along the 57-bus line. we have family photos of sasha who does the sd not identify as male or female whose skirt was set on

fire while napping on a 57 bus this month. the 16-year-old richard thomas has been arrested. the 18-year-old victim suffered second and third degree burns in that bus incident. remaining hospitalized in stable condition. classmates have worn skirts in solidarity z they have tied rainbow ribbons on poles they'll do the same tonight. the march kicks off in a half hour. marchers will walk just blocks down the street to ardly avenue. they have been asked to wear bright colors and to bring ribbons live in oakland abc7 news. >> carolyn, thank you very much. sasha's father talked about what happened he also talked about his feelings about richard thomas, the person police say set the clothes on fire. carl fleeshman says none of can know the

mind of the kid who lit the skin on fire, but if he knew i won't be writing this now. >> investigators released a sketch of a man they say raped a student. here is the picture. authorities considering adding a hate crime charge in this rape. the assault happened insiefd a woman's bathroom last monday. the victim may have been targeted because of her gender identification as pan sexual meaning attracted to people regardless of gender or sexual preference. >> berkeley police arrested a man they say sexual assaulted three women in less than an hour on saturday. police say he sexual assaulted these three women in separate attacks. the attacks took place between 5:15 and 6:00 p.m

two. women were 18 years old the third, 21. police arrested skinner at a nearby ymca after linking him to all three assaults. sky seven shows where a hit and run driver collided with three other vehicles near hillsborough. it started when a toyota fore runner hit two vehicles stopped along the shoulder of southbound 280. saying the driver then ran from the scene and has not been found. five people including two small children went to the hospital. they're all expected to be okay. this is just terrible. someone stole 19 lap tops from computers in a san jose school. they took some cash. the students raised to buy a class pet. the school faculty member discovered the theft tuesday lap tops taken from a storage room inside of the bird avenue campus a jar with $30 cash was also taken. officials think it happened over the weekend. there were no obvious signs of a break

in according to police. >> president obama offered a fix to keep millions of americans from having their health insurance cancelled by the end of the year. mr. obama says insurance companies will be allowed to keep customers on existing plans for another year, even if those plans don't meet obamacare standards. this is not a mandate. each state must decide whether they'll follow the president's plan. within hours, california insurance commissioner dave jones sent a letter to the state insurance exchange. jones wants covered california to modify the contract with health insurers. >> neither federal nor state law allow me with action today, to outright stop the cancellation s but i will urge california's insurance companies follow the president's call. >> the state insurance commissioner wants insurers to issue new notices offering a chance to renew policies.
