abc7 news begins with breakings news. >> the breaking news is from the south bay. >> the santa clara sheriff is investigating a fail -- fatal shooting after shots were fired in unincorporated san jose shortly after 10:00 last night. deputyies found a man suffering from one gun wound. he died at the scene. this is the third homicide of the year in santa clara county. no word on the victim's identity or whether investigators have made an arrest. stay with abc for updates open twitter. >> right now you can get an update on the weather. mike nicco? >> you will like it if you are traveling or have people coming to sfo, no fog. it is dry and cleaner air and lowest visibility is five miles which is the spray that was kicked off along the coastline. the next 12 hours, 49, no fog around the bay, sunshine at

could force the board to scrap the agreement. there is a provision that grants too much paid family medical leave to union workers. officials claim they had rejected the provision during negotiations and the union verbally agreed to take it out. the union's abe proofed the contract after workers went on strike under twice in four months. the board will vote on the agreement next thursday. >> transportation secretary will gin local leaders today to celebrate the come explosion of the caldecott tunnel's fourth bore, with a picture of the final disaster drill. there will be a few more tests and then the workers will strike the lanes no later than monday. there will now be four lanes in both directions on highway 24. >> now latest on typhoon haiyan

with relief pace picking up in the rescue and feed the victims devastated. the aircraft carrier uss george washington is delivering water, medical supplies and hygiene supplies to the hardest hit areas. an official says the death toll has risen to 3,621 an increase of more than 1,200 from yesterday. officials say the new figure includes all the provinces hit. >> as efforts ramp up, highly trained medical help is on the way to the philippines to care for the victims. katie marzullo is in the newsroom with that story. >> registered nurses are on a plane headed to manila. it takes a day to get to the philippines. they will need to hit the ground running. last night more than a dozen nurses all in red excited to help the victims. they are the first team from registered nurse response

covering burlingame, walnut creek and all the bay area this is abc7 news. >> this is breaking news from florida. we have been reporting on a huge sinkhole that opened up that began to swallow up two homes. there plans to fill in the hole but they have to demolish the hopes and get them out of the way. it will take about 12,000 cubic yards of dirt to fill up this gigantic sinkhole the equivalent of 600 dump trucks of dirt. can you see the heavy equipment taking apart someone's home, their biggest investments, homes and dreams being destroyed.
