san francisco turn into gotham city. >> yes this, was the scene today just one of four areas featuring bat kid's exciting adventures. >> going now to ama daetz live at city hall. >> to see crowds of people that gathered for miles today, also known as bat kid, it was just emotional. it was overwhelming and spectacular to seechlt and -- sxee bat kid, people were worried but he performed like a real super hero today. >> bat kid to the rescue. san francisco became gotham city to make a wish come true for 5-year-old miles. now in remission after battling leukemia his parents managed to

keep it a secret. >> this is too much. i don't know what to say. to think, robin? >> bat kid thought it was pretty darn cool he hop into theed bat mobile. they were off to rescue a damsel distress. not a moment to spare. bat kid arrived to foil the attempted bank robbery. a busy morning for bat kid with more still to come. so a pit stop was in order. even super heros have to eat. the break won't last long. a flash mob signalled giants mascot lucille had been kidnapped by the evil penguin. bat kid chased down the penguin, rescuing lucille. it was a typical day for a super hero like bat kid ending with a rally

in front of gotham city hall. mayor lee presented mim with a key to the city. and to think that miles just thought he's getting a costume. he was so excited for that. no idea what is in store today. the day ended but the family will be here for a couple more days they're going to see the city now that it has turned back to san francisco and no longer gotham city. >> thank you. >> who could morgue yet the song? lucille taken through union square. >> so 1, 1 social media celebrity is the penguin, whose

macy's. if you wonder what super heros eat, burgers and fries no other tv station had this access pictures on our twitter feed. and everybody got in on the fun, even the president. >> way to go, miles, way to save gotham. >> the president made a video and tweeted this photo with caption "follow friday retweet sf wish. here he comes, sf bat kid. it's been fun. hundreds of people behind the scenes helped make the wish to be a super hero come true today. putting the caper together took a year of coordination by countless make a wish volunteers many declined to talk on camera saying this is miles' day. keith veramonte told us what it meant to him.. >> i feel for him. i'm glad make a wish did this for him. >> and as the wish went viral, tens of thousands of bystanders came and added to the excitement

how bat kid turned into a social media phenomenon today. >> a special meeting right now of the bart board of directors. a major contract error that was overlooked. what happens now? >> they're in closed session they went in to closed session at 4:00. bart saying it's an error the unions dispute that. there is about hafl hour of public comment before going into closed session, mostly union leadership. the provision has to do with fmla. provision signed in july gives union workers six weeks of paid leave under fmla

been a careless example of recycling thing that's should have been shredded but they're launching an investigation to see if the breech was wide spread or just isolated to this one. but i can tell you this. the scratch pads with personal information were found not just on one day but on two separate days here so this was not just a one time mistake. >> then, i saw the partial social security card. >> jan was shocked when she saw the pad including poeto copies of personal information. copies of social security cards, licenses and other information that shouldn't be out for anyone to see. >> reporter: what reaction did you have? >> this promotes identity theft.
