shouting and banging on the walls and they are not surprised he is accused of setting the building on fire. many of them now are learning from people who have been inside that their homes are completely destroyed. when firefighters arrived at 2:50 they had to fight it from the outside because it was so big. as they tried to put it out, one of the residents confessed on camera, that he used a lighter to set fire to the building. >> i'm the one that started it. i take full responsibility. >> what happened? >> crazy. they tryied to make people think i was crazy. >> he was rescued from the balcony and then police took him into custody shielding him from the public with a blanket and charged prado with arson. >> i'm in shock realizing i probably lost everything. >> seven people lived inside the

a possible head injury washing up at 8:15 this morning. san francisco firefighters responded and say the surfer was having a hard time breathing and feeling fingers and toes. >> aaa estimates 43 million people in the united states will be traveling more than 50 miles this thanksgiving holiday and with the big storm hitting the east coast passengers were wait telling see if the flights will leave on time. this picture is from san francisco international airport. it is not an issue, but the delays certainly is a ripple effect with cancellations and delays seen nationwide. what about here? our reporter joins us from sfo, how does it look? >> it feels like a normal wednesday which is good. first, the weather is causing a few delays only for arrivals and departures with atlanta and philadelphia and the new york airport hardest hit. the day before thanksgiving has

showing winter miss and the green and yellow and oranges are the rain. temperatures mild in the northeast but we still have delays in all the airports this new york, newark, philadelphia, travel going to be tough up to maine throughout the we afternoon from raleigh. in virginia they shoveled some snow scraping the windshields looking more like christmas with the early winter blast. tomorrow, notice the temperatures if you are headed to the east will be cooler, in the 30's in boston and new york, and 46 in stimulus, -- st. louis and the major hubs will be clear. same here. we have temperatures in the 60's through the central valley to 70 in fresno and palm springs and up to tahoe they are making snow but mother nature will not help you. safely travels but not the fresh blanket of snow.

safe travels to you and we will look at the thanksgiving forecast. back to you. >> not scary the developing news, authorities say part of a stadium that will host the world cup opener in brazil next year has collapsed, killing at least three people. another person could be trapped. the accident happened this morning in brazil when a falling plane crashed on a metal structure destroying part of the stands the stadium was a month away from completion. blah still is now building six stadiums to meet a world cup deadline set by soccer's governor easterning body. the oakland police say six people were cited after a protest at the port of oakland. this morning, dozens of demonstrators and truck drivers gathered to push for better pay and other changes. officers also showed up to make sure the protesters did not block entrances to the port. the demonstration is part of a work stoppage. truck drivers want more time to comply with new state regulation requiring them to reduce their emissions which they claim will

put 800 truckers out of business. >> in santa rosa a rest was arrested and 12 cited yesterday if a breast over the shooting death of 13-year-old andy lopez. the teach was shot -- teen was shot and killed last month by a sheriff deputy while caring a toy ak-47, the 8th protest since the shooting. they were cited for blocking lane after a dozen requests to move to the sidewalk. a man was arrested when he started fighting with an officer after refusing to move. >> today is the 35th anniversary of one of dark of the days in san francisco history. on this day in 1978, mayor george mascone and supervisor harvey milk were shot to death at city hall by former supervisor dan white who was angry that mascone did not reappoint him as supervisor and milk was the first openly gay supervisor. the assassinations will be
