francisco waking up to 46 in oakland and 42 in redwood city and san jose and los gatos in the mid-40's and 41 at half moon bay. no flight arrival delays at sfo or anywhere across the country at the moment but it is a "spare the air" alert day today so watch out for that with though burning of wood and dry and perfect for shopping and cooler next week with big game in san jose which is coming up in a little bit. now, the roads, hopfully you can get a good parking spot closest to the door. at san jose this accident is still off to the side of the roadway northbound 680, we have a little bit of slowing and you can see volume building eastbound along 80 as you approach 1116. southbound 101 before 87 furniture was lost in the road but not causing delays. hopefully c.h.p. can move it out of way.

people. questions. it was crazy. all this run back and forth. >> many people have been here all night shopping and others say they came from work which is a hot topic on social networks like facebook and a twitter with a dozen retailers open on thanksgiving and open through black friday. the big sales are still being offered and you can see up to 50 percent off sign outside the store and a lost 40's and 50's and 60 percent signs off across the mall. we expect a lull at this time, about 5:00 a.m., and they are speaking crowds to pick up at any time this morning. >> east bay the doors are open at the favorite malls and amy hollyfield is at sun valley mall in concord. >> an employee told us it has died down but look at this parking lot, it looks crowded to me for action in the morning.

you can see customs are still arriving. it is very busy for this hour. macy's opened at 8:00 last night and an employee told us it was very crowded. it was a very busy night and she was surprised to see so many people shopping on thanksgiving day. some shoppers told us they hesitated but the deals were too good to resist and they shopped all night long. >> i was conflictedded about going because it pulls people away from their families, however, it was something that the kids really wanted to do and i fell into it. we came. she and her daughter started at 9:00 last night leaving this concord mall at 4:30 and they headed off to bed, i ask, but they were going to wal-mart. they started at target. it has been a very successful start to the politic friday shopping weekend for target and the sun is not even up.

it will last throughout the weekend and it will change next week. we had a storm system pushing its way way to the southeast and hype it, coming from alaska is a massive cool air bringing cooler temperatures and a chance of rain and it will first hit washington, oregon, and over northern california and it will start monday and into tuesday. our california highs are warmer at 71 degrees in los angeles and our neighborhoods, 64 degrees in monterey and to the north, 57 in eureka and 50 degrees in tahoe and no snow is forecast for lake tahoe. our highs today in the bay area are 64 degrees in santa cruz and 67 in los gatos and 65 in santa clara and 66 in san jose and along peninsula, 67 in redwood city and cooler by the coast at 62 degrees at pacifica and 64 degrees this downtown seven.

in the upper to mid-60's in the north bay. the east bay is 66 degrees in oakland. inland, you can see temperatures are reaching 70 degrees and chilly indeed and cooler than yesterday and 36 in santa rosa and 37 in napa and the upper mid-40's across the bay area. warm and mild for today and over the weekend but the chance of cooling monday into tuesday at 5 to 10 degree drop in temperature and it starts to cool down wednesday into thursday with the chance of showers. if you moving out to the local shopping center for the great deals, so far, it looks decent with a couple of crashes to report. one was cleared but highway 4 is at top speeds making the drive between antioch and hercules along highway 24 and clear through walnut creek.
