day. we have some hotspots. amy hollyfield is at the mall in concord. what is happening? >> the cars are circles because they cannot find a parking place. it is very busy. mall employees are exhausted. shoppers have lots of energy. they keep on coming. if you opened the door on thanksgiving day might and put stuff on sale people will come. they will buy. shop wees are walking out with their hands full of shopping bags. employees are just getting off work and worked all night and are exhausted. they were shocked at the size of the crowds. there were a lot of kids. i wanted to be home in bed and the kids are out..., just exhausting. >> this is one stop only for

shoplifter. this began with reports of two men stealing clothes from a koll's department store. the suspect was chased where the driver ignored orders to stop. an officer was tangled in the car and was dragged. >> westbound 80 is open after a man was hit and killed this morning when c.h.p. received a report of a disabled vehicle in the fast lane at 12:30. the driver of the car tried to run to the shoulder and hit by one vehicle. the driver dried at seen. westbound lanes were closed for an hour and a half. >> santa rosa police are searching to men responsible for a violent home invasion robbery. self armed men entered the house and held a family including a six-year old boy at gunpoint. a man was severely beaten. this happened tuesday afternoon. it is believed the robbers

looked for marijuana and cash. the victim went to the hospital and is treated for were joys. >> in san jose detectives are investigating a fail police shooting. the man who was shot was a stabbing suspect who tried to ram an officer with a stolen car. the suspect stabbed several people at a home and carjacked a van. he got on to 680 going the wrong direction and he was chased into a cul-de-sac where he was shot and killed. the stabbing victims will all recover. the? are is on paid leave. that is standard procedure. >> the oakland teen severely burned when his skirt was set on fire is home for the holidays. sasha fleischman was riding an a.c. transit bus when a 16-year-old set his skirt on fire while he was sleeping. he suffered severe burns. the story touched at the love

up to i-80 eastbound at 7th, a truck hit a pedestrian and we have all lanes now blocked and it is at hospital curve with bumper-to-bumper traffic and slow down at the 280 extension. use 280 around this but all lanes have been blocked eastbound 80 at 7th street. i will keep you updated move along this morning. traffic across the bay area headed westbound along 580, tracy to dublin is quiet at 24 minutes and highway 4 westbound, 14 minutes and through marin and headed down to san francisco that is the quick 17-minute delay. i will have the full bay area look at traffic in a little bit. it is looking decent for a few events we have taking place today and i let you know from fresno state bulldogs will visit the san jose spartans at 12:30

and we have great weather. the radar satellite runs shows no moisture in the forecast today or over the weekend and this is good news if you are headed out for black friday shopping and moreshipping over the weekend. from our sutro tower to the financial district nothing but twinkling lights and clear conditions. it is a "spare the air" alert day and no booed burning because that is going to bring more poor quality air to the area. the storm system off the pacific coast moved southeast so it is affecting southern california more than it affects us. what is replacing it is the cool air from alaska and another system bringing in not just cold temperatures but a chance of rain on tuesday into thursday. our highs across the state are

71 degrees in los angeles and 72 at palm springs and northern california, 68 in sacramento and 50 degrees in lake tahoe and no show in the forecast if lake tahoe. our highs today, we are topping out in the mid-to-upper 60's and warmer for this time of the year. 64 degrees in santa cruz and along the coast at half moon bay and the north bay is 66 and 68 in fairfield and clear lake. lows in the lower to mid-40's for the coastline and inland, 47 degrees in oakland but the north bay is where we will see freezing temperatures and freezing next week, tuesday, especially. it will be great today and tomorrow and lots of sunshine and sunday with the cool down on monday and tuesday and a chance of showers affecting us tuesday into thursday m.

you can use 280 to get into the city leaving you at king street so there are ways to get around this. here is the picture of the sutro tower toward the skyway where all lanes are blocked and c.h.p. is on the scene. all lanes shut down eastbound 80 at 7th and you will need alternate routes with westbound traffic still open at this time. in weather we have a warm-up in the forecast certainly dry as we take a look at the day planner the next 12 hours, we are starting off cooler in our north bay by noon we are looking at temperatures topping off at 62 degrees inland and an the bay and 60 degrees along the coast and 62 degrees, almost 70 by 4:00 p.m. and it cools down again and i will have the seven-day forecast if a lit.
