worth wearing a checkered red jacket and jean shorts. a famous local surfer died when a fire raced through his home this morning. temperatures tried to revive the 64-year-old. when arriving they discovered him inside of the car. investigators focused on the car looking for what started this tragic fire. locals knew him by his nickname stevo and the kind kahuna. >> despite end of the search, friends are still looking for a san jose man and his family who went missing after the plane crashed in idaho. they were heading from oregon to montana when smith reported engine trouble. snow, bitter cold continued to make that search very difficult. it is in rugged

just night time temperatures but daytime as well. hang in there if you don't like this cold weather. looking at pacific satellite picture i want to show thu is going to be another cold night. and then, temperatures will be coming up a little bit. going to be cold tuesday morning. no rain is in site. high pressure blocking the storm from getting here. what does this mean? taking a look at calendar for san francisco, we're on track to the driest january to december on record. current record is nine inches in 1917. so far only had just over five and a half inches, just over five and a half inches since january 1st. taking a look at a dry closing to december, we can see driest calendar year on record. we'll have to monitor that for you. tomorrow morning napa, santa rosa, 20 degrees. 29 in san
