rubbing their eyes this disbelieve. our reporter, amy hollyfield, is in san francisco with the story. amy? >> yes, we are learning they have found the a.t.m. machine and the van they drove away with. they have not made any arrests. look at the scene, this is incredible to see. this pillar used to have an a.t.m. machine and it was bolted into concrete and now it is gone. quite an effort here, lots of debris including the receipt tape that was inside the machine. the pillar has been ruined. this is at the mayflower market at jackson and fillmore. the market is fine. they just wanted the tam machine. this happened at 3:45 this morning. at one point the suspects were on the bay bridge trying to get away and when they hit treasure i'd they were spotted so investigators say they turned around and started going the wrong way on the bay bridge back

into the city. when they got off the bridge the police started to pursue them and they did locate that van at 7th and missouri and they did fine the tam machine inside but they have not caught the two men inside the van. we do not know if there is any money in the a.t.m. machine or if they managed to get it out. they are trying to get those answers. it is an active investigation in the city. right now, police are canvassing the neighborhood looking to see if the stores in the area have surveillance camera so they can get video of the guys and how necessity pulled this off. >> now, here is leyla gulen. >> good morning, everyone, we do have cooler air that is going to be coming in, cooler weather,

>> firefighters have the big sur fire 20 percent contained but gusty winds are expected. the 800 acre wildfire that break out has destroyed 17 homes including the fire chief's house. five other structures have been destroyed and 300 families remain evacuated. crews say the fire will grow in the next day or so with the winds expected to gust up to 30 miles per hour. the family of a 13-year-old girl who is brain dead after surgery is holding a rare vigil. katie marzullo is in the newsroom. >> jahi mcmath's family is holding the vigil in oakland from 6:00 to 7:00 and they are asking for worldwide prayer. the family has had one prayer answered when children's hospital agreed to keep the 13-year-old on life support a few hours after the family's attorney served the hospital with a cease and desist order. the family says the hospital was going to take her off the ventilator after her latest eeg

pressure with the first low pressure blowing out the bad air and behind it is warm air pressure but first it will get cooler before it warms up. in big sur with the gusts we will see winds kicking up in big sur with only 20 percent containment and, hopefully, they will get more containment later today. highs today are in the upper 50's to lower 60's and 62 in livermore and 57 in san mateo and 62 in santa rosa and overnight, chilly but not so cold as we have seen. 37 degrees in napa, our coolest temperatures and 42 in rip monday and 42 in san mateo and 38 in livermore. the seven-day forecast shows bad air quality today. very unhealthy. slight chance of showers overnight. real cool down on friday. the first day of winter is on saturday.

we have a mild pattern that will last through next week and we have a nice christmas on the horizon. now, we will talk about traffic and see what is happening with a couple of accidents and a vehicle and a big rig on northbound 880 is causing traffic jams. northbound side along 880 at oak street want out for that. we are not seeing backups. westbound from tracy to dublin is 40 minutes and highway 4 westbound from at job to concord is 15 minutes and 101 southbound into san francisco is 17 minutes. here is the walnut creek commute as you make the drive to the 24 junction with extra cars and we are looking at 12 minutes in the southbound direction. >> next a local connection to the rose bowl connection on new year's and copy of a playground
