children's hospital from taking jahi mcmath off of life support after the family met with hospital officials and her mother talked with us after the meeting. >> we have no right, you do not have my permission whatever to take her off. >> strong words for the hospital. she shared with us the new picture of jahi mcmath holding her mother's hand. the family is standing guard at her bedside. the mother says that she asked the hospital to keep jahi mcmath on the ventilator through christmas. the hospital administrator told her they want this done quickly. the family wants an independent doctor to examine jahi mcmath and her medical records. the attorney says the hospital will not allow either. the 13-year-old has on life support since last week when she was in cardiac arrest after tonsil surgery. the hospital cannot defend itself. official are not allowed to speak because the family has nt

given permission. the hospital is imploring the family to let it talk saying there were misperceptions about the case. developing news, police in santa clara are looking for suspects and talking to neighborhood of a home invasion robbery. they went door-to-door to see if neighbors saw or her anything at 9:00 last night. police are saying limit about what happened but that a robbery took place at a home in the area. officers canvassed the neighborhood. we will keep you posted as new information becomes available. >> u.c. police are investigating a fire that engulfed bushes near the clock tower and a tree. the student newspaper obtained this photo taken by cal student christina kirby. the my mayor have been caused by people doing fire trick for amusement. >> san jose charity will give

we are 3,000 short of that. if someone want to the shop for us they could get teen gifts which is always a challenge but that is why we short there. or, books, we want to make sure every child get as book. >> also, what are the challenges the clients are facing this year? >> this is the year we thought it would be quieter because the news of an economy improving but that is in the higher end jobs. what happening with so many people that come to sacred heart for help is because of the cost of living going up especially the rent, they are having trouble making their bills. we talked to a father who having hours cut back and he will be here, today, and because of the generosity of the community he can provide a christmas for his family. >> 6,000 families are participating in the toy distribution today. thank you for joining us, jay. they still need 3,000 more toys.

good morning, everyone, look at that: visibility is unlimited. a lot of sunshine. i want to talk about what will happen. we have a storm system moving through the great lakes headed to the northeast and what eric was talking about is what came through our neighborhood yesterday and you can see it spinning down near tuscon edgejecting out of the hills and mountains and into the southern plains which will cause problems through dallas there could be thunderstorms. we freezing cold in santa rosa, novato, napa, concord, a breeze, though, in antioch, livermore and fairfield and san ramon is 40. we are cooler than the inland valley unables in fremont at 36, and los gatos at 33 and half moon bay at 36 and san jose at 39 and oakland, as well. san francisco is 49 right new. east bay hills, the camera is steady. it is also clear.

we have a warming trend coming we do not have "spare the air" day but the air quality management district says they think we could have our next "spare the air": christmas east. that would be no fires on christmas eve. we will watch that. bright and mild and calmer, clear tonight, not so cool this morning and dry and warm all seven days of the trust. here is what is happening today: in the upper 50's to low 60's and napa is 63 degrees and the cool spot is 58 in san francisco and san mateo and 57 at half moon bay. tonight, the temperatures are running mostly in the mid-30's to low 40's inland and upper 30's to mid-40's around the bay and to the coast. high pressure is starting to build behind this area low pressure and the pressure gradient is not as tight as yesterday and the breezes are to the south. we are closer to the high pressure with calming influence that will bring us a dry pat en.

in london this morning every audience member is accounted for after a theater ceiling collapsed at a west end theater. 75 people were injured and seven seriously, when part of the apollo theater ceiling fell on the audience. authorities say plaster and masonry came tumbling down bring the balcony with it, and more than 700 people were in the theater at the time and vote of girths are trying to determine the cause of the collapse. they say it appears to be an accident.
